I Earn 500 Dollars Extra Being A Full-time Student With This Strategy
How I manage to make money in a busy time…

I'm not gonna discuss affiliate marketing and all that because I’m not in that business and I don't have a strong social media following as all the other guys out there. What I’m about to tell you is how I applied this simple principle to boost my sales and saved my energy.
500 is peanuts especially when you live in Europe or in the USA, but this is the chunk of my earnings that are purely from passive income working only a few hours a month on top of other income. I am currently a full-time student and I spend only a couple of hours a week monitoring and still is expanding my business. And hey! This article is about how I make an extra 500 a month.
“Less Is More” -Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
I used to spend tons of time on stuff that doesn’t lead to results and sales. It is soul-draining. I was having too many ideas and just do not know which ones I need to work on. When you have stuff going on like studies or full-time work, knowing where to focus all that energy and time is your top priority. And isn't it just wonderful to still have more time left for personal stuff?
This is how I started applying Pareto Principle or known as the 80/20 rule. The 80/20 rule simply specifies that 80% of consequences come from 20% of the causes.
So here are some examples if you’re selling a product or service:
- 20% of a companies products represent 80% of sales
- 20% of your products make 80% of your profits
- 20% of posts generate 80% of traffic
With this in mind, it helps me determine which ones need more urgency, what activities to focus on and what are the most important things.
Here’s I applied it to mine:
- Analyze Data. I use the power of data analytics to measure where customers are coming from, analysing traffic and which products have more views and sales. I use these details to optimize my activity such as ad campaigns, SEO and more. I always try to find to spend more time on the 20% that makes the 80% sale.
- Duplicate. Duplicate what works and already selling. Most of the time I’m wrong, following the views, sales and reviews are my keys to launching my next product. Listen to your customers. The more feedback the better.
- Prioritize. Spike the 20% income generating task and be quick to abandon things that do not seem to work. Delegate or do less important stuff on free time.

Thoughts. I am fairly new to side hustling and online freelancing stuff. 500 as a passive income does not make you rich, but it’s a baby step towards my bigger goal. I believe optimizing everything and working smart would get us there faster. Here’s to earning money and having more free time!
