I Dream Of Evolution
I love remembering sleeptime stories POMprompt #20
Green moss upholstered river rocks velvet conveyors mosh my spine. Slipping away I backstroke submerged breathing without breathing downstream. She swims beneath me fat feeder fish fleshy creature cruising coursing hungry upstream. We are buoyant flotsam in clear cold rainwater oxygenized by a piscine dreamdance. We are one swimmer sharing gills and lungs, silvery liquid layers dissolve our mingled fins and hands rinse clear our intent of unity. Wind plays the current, stirs us over tumbler stones hardened by embedded moonlight. In wet unison we suck in gasping our soft amphibian communion until I stand weighted heavy ankles deep in earthmud two-legged and uncertain… while Cetacean memory sculls away tail pushing silent eyes washed always open inhaling her watery worth, certain.
In my mind’s eye, this story is very real and full of mystery.
