It’s time for a monthly literary smack-down.
Do you think you have what it takes to complete all aspects of this new monthly challenge? Seamlessly?
We will be having ONE MONTHLY smack-down. (An irrefutable challenge for y’all who’ve not had the pleasure of a double dog dare before! Not to be confused with a triple dog dare!)
And yes, the points are back with a vengeance as some of you find pleasure in clawing and jabbing your way to the top!
Your tantalizing choices: (2 pts EACH)
- Your character is in a cantina celebrating Cinco de Mayo, 🎉 BUT tensions rise between the aliens and the humans. What happened? Will diplomacy prevail? Will an intergalactic war ensue??
- A bounty hunter is hired to retrieve a stolen Cinco de Mayo artifact from a crime lord, but he soon realizes that he’s not the only one after the artifact!
Show me your skill!
Let’s see if you can flawlessly work in each of the following: (1 point each)
- A super-intelligent, shape-shifting alien is disguised as a household pet.
- A cursed object grants wishes — but each wish comes at a terrible price.
- Something happens that causes time to move backwards. For how long and is anyone aware this happens??
- An outcast hybrid saves something. (The party, a life, etc.)
- Someone or something important is infinitesimal.
- Someone speaks in a foreign/alien language but everyone amazingly understands it.
That’s 10 points! I can already hear your intake of breath to ask — but can I submit multiple stories and rack up the points?? YES you can!
