I Don’t Waste Toothpaste
Six Word Photo Story: Freestyle
I think I got it all.
The world is drowning in garbage. Too much of it consists of discarded containers — shampoo, laundry detergent, food, and even toothpaste. This story is about the tube of special “Sensitive” toothpaste I am about to finish.
Somewhere along life’s journey, I developed the habit of finishing bars of soap and, yes, toothpaste. I squeeze the tube until the last bit comes out. Once it is empty, I thank the empty tube and dispose of it properly.
Earlier this month, I realized that my Sensitive toothpaste was nearing the end of its journey. It began the journey in July when I took the unopened tube from a drawer and started using it. The journey will end in the next few days when I prepare to brush my teeth and cannot get anything out of the tube.
Six Word Photo Story Challenge is one of Medium’s most enjoyable, often educational, magazines. Special thanks to Mary Chang Story Writer, and her talented team of editors for making it happen.
