I Don’t Know Whether It Will Survive or Not!

Let’s hope for the best for this little fellow.

A few days ago, my sister saw a Facebook post where a boy posted a photo of a newborn kitten rescued from a dustbin. He was searching for someone who could adopt the kitten as he already had many cats in his home and couldn't take care of a new one.

Seeing the post, my sister and brother-in-law both wanted to help that tiny, weak fellow. They went to that boy’s house and adopted it. Well, my sister is a kind-hearted person and loves animals. She already has four cats in her house.

But this new member was in really bad condition and needed extreme care.

My sister started to take care of it and within a few days, the tiny, weak kitten gained some strength. It started to walk with its tiny little legs and see with its dark curious eyes. My sister shared the update with me through WhatsApp, and I was happy thinking that the poor fellow finally survived its misfortune.

But things changed when yesterday my sister came to pay us a visit (she lives a few kilometers away from us). She brought that tiny fellow with her and all the things it needed.

The kitten was placed in a comfortable place and offered all the love and care. And everything was okay until this morning.

In the morning, my sister noticed that the kitten somehow got cold and started sneezing. She was terrified to see that. Though my sister wrapped that little fellow with warm clothes and checked many times at night to make sure it’s okay, this tiny little creature became a victim of cold.

I saw the kitten shaking its body and finding hard to continue breathing.

We contacted the vet immediately, and just a few moments ago, my sister and her husband left home for the vet chamber. They are on their way.

I also have a cat of my own named Mini. She is my child and the love of my life. I know how hard it is to see a loved one suffer — human beings or animals; a life is a life. And my heart will get broken if this tiny little kitten doesn’t survive.

I have seen the photo that boy posted. It was a photo of a dustbin and this tiny weak kitten was laying there on a rag. A few yards away, another kitten was found dead. You know, who left those tiny helpless kittens there to embrace death? Some human beings for sure.

And now, two other human beings are trying hard to save one’s life.

I wish this ill-fortunate kitten survive and see that there are a few human beings who truly care for other living beings. All humans are not evil.

Update: Despite all our efforts, the kitten died on 24 August.
