I Don’t Have Time To Read Your Newsletter
Here is what I suggest instead

Is it just me or do most of the newsletters from friends go on for pages and pages about:
Their lives or topics which are just too damn long. I mean, what are they thinking?
Do I really care about:
· Their latest writing discovery that they share in depth
· That I want to know every detail of their vacation
· Their dog
· What their kids
· Or what their grandkids to this week?
No thank you. Frankly, I really don’t care.
Now, if you offered this latest discovery in a couple of paragraphs, fine. I can deal with that and enjoy the news.
I know that newsletters are supposed to be great ways to build your email list and even get people to sign up for your latest product. For me, it’s a total turn off.
I’m very busy with my own writing and an over-flowing email box. I’m very likely to “unsubscribe” if I feel your newsletter is more about you than me or that you write so long because you have no consideration for my time.
So, what to do if you still want to keep your name out there?
A: Make it shorter
B. Don’t send as often
C: Tell me, briefly, what you have learned lately
D. Make it worth my while to spend time reading your news
Here is what you can do instead. Find an article or piece of news that you have found valuable and suggest it with a link to the piece.
This way, you still add value without overloading and paraphrasing news or the article.
For example, I just found a great article about writing tools and I want to share it with you as I found it helpful. Here is the link: https://masterwriter.com/creative_writers/?msclkid=246bb4b6d3cb132ca238d126a7e14d8c&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=non-branded%20-%20Creative%20Writers(CL)&utm_term=software%20for%20writing&utm_content=writing%20software.
Or, maybe you want to offer even more. So, here is another link that offers help when you are stuck with your writing:

These all don’t have to be about writing. It’s just my part of the world. You can frame your newsletter to whatever you want that can enhance your newsletter.
There you have it. I’ll greatly appreciate you a lot more and maybe even click on the links.
