POETRY PROMPT RESPONSE
I Don’t Come Cheap
Suck it up

So, “Kyle whoever the hell you are,” you want to interview me on Zoom for an hour?
Let me tell you — that leaves a taste in my mouth somewhat sour.
As at no time did you mention money, so listen up kid, and listen good, sonny.
No more freebies from yours truly, you dig? From here on in, I’m goin’ for the vig.
“Anybody can write,” haven’t you heard? Your mother, your brother, and maybe your bird.
So move along youngster, you’re crampin’ my style Whatever your name is, oh yeah, it’s “Kyle.”
Thanks to Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for this fun prompt!
