I Demand A Recount!

Medium stripped 400 followers off me.

Dear Medium,

What in the actual hell? I lost 400 followers. Just like that. Poof. Gone.

I was walking around feeling accomplished just last week. I finally reached 1,000 followers. I never reached 1,000 anything. It felt like a writing milestone. I actually bought a cape for the occasion and was gearing myself up to release a statement to my haters.

“And to every asshole who said I couldn’t spell for shit, cheers to the Queen! I, Moi! Here's my middle finger. Shove it.”

I dreamed of this moment my whole life, and you just took it away from me without any warnings. You didn’t even try to ween me off and remove the 400 followers in batches. It’s cruel.

My first thought was Fuck; I offended half my readers in one go. But then someone on #WEOC said it was a clean-up situation.

Maybe I wanted some trolls. What if I wanted a few bots. Why would you topple me off my writing throne? 400? So this whole time, my conceited ass thought an extra 400 people were reading my words?

The amount of times I had to put my tail between my legs this week is unbelievable.

I’ll be under my covers.
