I Can’t Wait for the New “Elvis” Movie
I know I will love it as much as my expectations
I barely ever go to the movies.
Seriously. Even as I don’t have a Netflix or Hulu subscription, or on any streaming platform for that matter, I just don’t watch movies. Maybe on cable every now and again but that’s it.
But when a movie looks good — and I mean really good — I’m going to go see it. This is happening right now with the new “Elvis” film starting this weekend starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks.
I can’t wait to see the film. Here’s a few reasons why:
Tom Hanks Is Outstanding
Is there anything Tom Hanks can’t do?
I mean, everyone loved him as Sheriff Woody in the “Toy Story” franchise and other such films like “Forrest Gump” and “Saving Private Ryan.” But he was excellent in recent films playing real life roles like Walt Disney and Fred Rogers.
The man is talented hands down. In this new “Elvis” film, he plays the role of the infamous manager Col. Tom Parker. From previews thus far, it looks too good to not see it.
I’m Proud to See Austin Butler on the Big Screen
I grew up watching Butler on Disney Channel shows and especially on the fourth season of the Nickelodeon hit “Zoey 101.” He’s obviously come a long way from playing roles in children’s television.
He will blow audiences away in a role originally meant for Harry Styles. Butler is the perfect person to play Elvis, and if the trailers are any indication, I know the film will be flawless. Butler will make much of this possible.
I Don’t Know Much About Elvis
I’m trying to learn more about how music came to be. Obviously, Elvis played a major role in all of this. I don’t know much about him or his life and times so I’m interested to see how things played out — and learn a little bit along the way.
I’m not going in to watch the film with high expectations except for the fact that I can’t wait to learn more about the King of Rock and Roll.
I mean, don’t you want to learn more?
