I Can’t Fall

I fear to let you down when you need me most (poem)

Photo taken by the author (Elin Melaas).

I can’t let you down. You trust me, need me.

Trust me to be there when you are struggling. Support, comfort.

You trust I find the right words. I must be ready to put everything else aside.

I will protect you, support you, guide you.

It’s burning around me. I’m so scared to let you down.

I just need hope. I’m not going to fall. I can’t fall.

Thanks to my two lovely girls. Being your mom is my greatest joy. I’m infinitely proud of you.

Thanks for sharing all your thoughts and problems. I’m honored you trust me and need me. I will always be there for you.

But in the dark hours, fear comes. I’m your mother, and I can’t fall.

Shout out to Umme Salma. A wonderful writer with many beautiful stories, like the one below.
