I Can Still See You From The Distance

A Poetic Romance

Sketch by Gurpreet Dhariwal

I can still see you from the distance And I can almost sense you are making The fun of my weak eyesight but my love Don’t they say you can feel the presence Of someone without seeking their physical Appearance every day?

I can still see you from the distance And I can almost see how weak your own Eyesight is and I am not like you hence I don’t Make fun of you rather I hug you to make you Realize that you are still the one who is ruling My heart day and night.

I can still see you from the distance And I can sense you are trying to find the Lost key of your house beneath the bed You don’t want me to help so I don’t force Myself on you and see you dancing like an Effigy from the head to toe.

I can still see you from the distance And smile while seeing you naked in the Moonlight with the red wine by your side You don’t want me to touch you so I cherish This scene away from you yet so wanting To desire you even after my last heart surgery.
