I Can Always Use My Pain

A Poem

I don’t dislike feeling pain Because I always know I can use it To make words That make me again feel sane

A broken heart Disappointment Anger Confusion Insecurity Nostalgia Regret

It’s all usable It’s all something that can be made Beautiful

The words heal my soul They help me let all of the heavy, go

To all of those who hurt me Thank you

You give me words That tell a story That can heal another soul

You give me experiences That can break someone But make me feel whole

You give me insight into my being You help me explore the depths of my Soul

But more importantly You don’t break me You just help me grow
