I Bought A Chinese Phone To Use As A Video and Still Camera
I’m impressed with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 phone that has expensive features at an inexpensive price

I’m impressed with my new camera.
It isn’t a regular camera though.
It is a Chinese phone with a 48 megapixel camera.
The Redmi Note 9 phone is produced by Xiaomi, a Beijing, China phone manufacturer. I’ve seen a newer 10 model — in celebration of the phone company’s 10th year in business — that looks like it packs even more features.
I bought my phone via Amazon for regular price. I didn’t receive any consideration for this review.
I don’t know if it will work with Verizon, my phone carrier since 1996. I’m happy with my 4-year-old standard Samsung J3 for phone calls and texts. I won’t connect the Redmi, unless the old phone dies, because it is nice to just use the phone for photos and videos when I’m out and about.
I can have the other phone available to ring without worrying that it will affect my photography or videography.
I’m not going to get all technical. People interested in specifications can compare and look at all of the different numbers, compare them and figure out which phone out there is the best at photography.
I just know my Redmi Note 9 is pretty cool. It has a wide angle camera, a standard camera, the 49 megapixel camera and a depth sensor. It has night mode which does a great job in the dark.
I can tell the difference between pictures and videos taken with the new phone vs. my old phone.
The beautiful thing about using a phone for photography is that I can carry it with me all the time. The phone is also powerful enough to quickly edit photos on the device itself quickly.
