I Believe

A state of heart and soul

I Believe

That every Human being on this planet has a right to pursue happiness and contentedness of their minds, body, and soul. In the fundamental truth that one person’s freedom ends where another begins. That there are none of us, who have the right to persecute and oppress another human being. There should be no division of class, simply by virtue of the color of someone’s skin. That the poor will be with us always, and each of us should learn to be constantly aware and diligently mindful of those less fortunate than ourselves

I Believe

The universal language of our Human race should be one of love and understanding, not one of hate and bitterness. That, those who prefer to ignore the fundamental freedoms of the Human race and impose their wills of hatred and ignorance upon any of us, be challenged immediately by all. They seek out the weak and prey upon the timid, but will never stand against a unified body of enlightened Humans.

I Believe

We all must do a better job at many things — communication, compassion, understanding, mindfulness, sympathy, empathy, and living in harmony. We should learn to live together instead of learning to beat down or conquer. As the Human race, we must learn to vilify war. We must be willing to admit the taking of another life is wrong no matter what the justification may be.

I Believe

There are many Gods and Goddesses, Prophets, and teachers who speak to Humans the world over, and their main message is one of love and forgiveness. The taking of life at any time in the name of a just or religious cause is unforgivable in the eyes of these very same Gods, Goddesses, Prophets, and teachers. Humans often seek to rationalize the taking of a life by twisting their religious or moralistic beliefs until these killings are justified in the eyes of their fellow Humans. The taking of human life will never be justified.

I Believe

That many of the Human race associate with various political and religious affiliations simply because they have grown too tired to carry the weight of doing or thinking the right things for themselves. That the blankets of partisan doctrine and religious dogma are the means of creating derision, which serves no other purpose than to maintain control over the wills of the people.

I Believe

One day this will all change. That perhaps maybe not in my lifetime or the lifetimes of my children or my children’s children, but it will change. The winds of change are softly stirring, and soon the gales of indignation and repatriation will begin to howl. I believe Humans will for once, since they first walked upon this land, realize we as a species must create an unbreakable chain of Human beings, forged in persecution, tempered by war and pestilence, and made whole by our trust and love in our fellow Humans.

This is what I believe, and this is what gives me hope and what helps me get up each day and be with you all. It is a belief I will hold dear in my heart and my mind.

Perhaps you may think this Utopian outlook is far from reality, but I say to you now, if one person who believes as I become a hundred, and then tens of thousands and then millions, this Utopia I speak of will become a reality.

All you have to do is believe.

Thank you so much for reading. You didn’t have to, but I’m certainly glad you did.
