I Became 17.67% More Productive — How I Did It and How I Measured It.
Mastering your digital environment.
After implementing this productivity strategy I really became 17.67% more productive.
You are probably wondering how I measured it ?
Before implementing this strategy I would write an article in exactly one hour on the dot.
After doing this simple trick, I finished writing an article in just 49 minutes and 24 seconds, giving a 17.67% productivity increase (feel free to check my math).
So what exactly did I do to achieve this result?
I have been learning about optimizing the environment we work in for maximum productivity.
Separating work from leisure is very important, and with traditional office work this was very easy. Having a zone exclusively for work made it effortless to separate work from private life.
In the post-pandemic world this is not as simple, those that work from home have many perks, but sometimes it may be difficult getting into the work mode.
Equally, solopreneurs and creators often work from home where the same problems arise.
I personally do not have the space to set up a home office or studio, and although there are other spaces, such as cafes, there was a problem I encountered.
There were too many distractions on my laptop, which is when I had an idea.
I set up a new environment on my computer. I made a new profile on my laptop, with only the essential apps for my work and with a different wallpaper from my regular profile.
I found that this got me into a different mindset and because my laptop looked different, I was constantly reminded that I am in work mode. The increase in productivity shows this.
Hopefully when you implement this strategy, you will also achieve a 17.67% increase in productivity or even greater.
