I Am the Lead Character in the Story of My Life

I read a post by Christina, and her words resonated deeply.

For most of my life, I believed academic qualifications and knowledge gleaned from textbooks maketh a successful woman.

No wonder I always found myself playing a minor character in my own life!

Degrees don’t teach you a thing about who you are or how to face curveballs life throws at you. You can’t find a solution to a relationship issue using a clever mathematical formula because of the emotions involved.

That can f*ck up the entire equation.

So, I set aside all I thought I knew.

I embarked on a journey of self-discovery.

My strengths, my weaknesses, my fears, my shame…

And I fell in love with who I found…

She, with all her flaws, is the hero of my story.

How about you?
