I Am Sorry
I can never be your ‘perfect’ girl

I am sorry my version of humanity disgusts you, and my vulnerability is inauthentic to you so you misconstrue my intentions. constantly cross-examined under the lens of your misconceptions, I never get a chance to be understood.
I am sorry I am not your ideal brand of imperfection, so you misinterpret my flaws for villainy, and view my mistakes as a premeditated assault, making me crave perfection as an antidote to your disapproval — a cost too steep for anyone to pay.
