I Am Changing My Life Next Week

This is my experience and my plan. If there is anything in your life that you want to change you could try it too.

Where Did This Idea Come From?

I was taking a break from writing to define my purpose but I couldn’t figure out where my self-doubt was coming from. Then I experienced an odd sequence of happenings, maybe coincidences. Overcoming self-doubt came to me three times in one hour. First, in an article online. Then, at the end of an appointment with my health coach. Then, in an email.

The Email

The email contained a link to the Own Your Future Challenge, a free event with Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, and others.

I’ve seen advertisements for Tony Robbins events before. I know these events are not my style. Way too hype, extreme, and drastic for me. With my style of learning and processing, I’d rather sit and soak. I prefer to listen and take it in. Well, you can’t get anything new out of doing what you have always done. (Better said by Henry Ford, if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.)

But, this one is a virtual event? Yes! This is perfect for me. I can sit and soak. I can just take the ideas that work for me. What a great opportunity.

I clicked on the link in the email and signed up. I added VIP and Elite status. I know, the add-ons are how they get you with these things. I made this decision for three reasons: I have the resources to do so, there are some things I want to improve in my life, and I want as much information and as many different perspectives as I can get to help myself and to help others.

Materials

I listened to Day 1–3 of an add-on course that came with the VIP upgrade. I applied a few of the concepts in a conversation with my husband. We had one of the most productive conversations we have ever had on a topic that we have struggled with. We have a great relationship in almost every way. We have a lot of productive conversations, but we have a couple of stuck points. One of them is about having biological children. (In my opinion, the window is no longer open.) We talk and talk. Sometimes we are on the same page. Other times, he sees one thing and I see another.

I worried that this topic could interrupt our happiness in our golden years. Now we have some additional perspectives to consider and tools to use. We are making progress. In my opinion, my money is already well spent and I didn't even get to the event yet.

Anticipation and Action

The FB group already uncovered that there will be opportunities for going live, being hype, and virtual immersion in the experience. I will sit and soak. I can’t wait. I don’t write advertisements, but I am excited about this event. (Unless they get you with the upgrades as they did me).
