I am almost at 500 followers. Me?
491 and counting, thank you to my fluffies who think I was worth hitting “follow”
Momma is like most out here, just trying to find my way. I have watched the last few months and how others climb the ladder having 1,000s of claps. I am a certain niche and while I am trying so many different writing styles coming up on 500 tells me I should probably have a good idea of what lane I should gravitate towards. I like Limericks and will likely stick with them. I like researching. I like writing longer articles and I like the way other Authors lay out their words and phrases using the font tools to help tell their stories. Very cool.
Momma likes to learn and grow, and I feel I am in an environment on MEDIUM to do just that. Learn from the other big kids on the playground. I can do that too.
I was hoping to breach the hill this weekend and summit the middle 0 in 500 happily and dramatically sticking my flag of bunny ears and hearts in the center, declaring it a victory for all those trying to reach the 500 fan mark starting at 0. sigh I wish I had a formula to tell them what would work to get where I am. I have no clue.
Slow and steady wins the race. I was told that continuously showing up and writing every day was best. I do it in different ways to see what fits for me on this website. I will continue to use my new skills at SEO for others to find me easier and I will make sure that my peeps are left with a closing on a thought. A takeaway to think about themselves.
This is the best time I have had. I have written more and with greater passion and progress in the last few months than ever. I never had this much freedom to express my Momma self and with publishers that make the whole process feel so much more legit. For a disabled, autoimmune, isolated medically, not by choice adventurous spirit here, this has made me a star in my own right amongst my online people. Legend in my own mind.
I am the Author Momma Dom, a bunny queen. In Chinese culture, I am a bunny rabbit based on my birth year. The rabbit symbolizes mercy, beauty, and elegance. My keywords are usually, honorable, beautiful, and grace. It is lucky, the rabbit. Of all the animals (12) this one is the most artsy, life-driven, and peaceful. Watch out you don’t annoy that peace though we are also the fiercest fighters with the most heart in our battles. Just watch Monty Python. 🐰
I have a voice and many have told me recently that the voice is good. I am glad for that. I only wish to put out an honest informed opinion on my subjects. I am learning to say hello to my audience, HI, and engage them more. The comments still are not coming and I am not sure if that is because I am doing something wrong. Dear reader, my fluffy, tell me what it could be, please.
I read others on MEDIUM and their advice for how to get more engagements and I am trying. Time will tell if I have what it takes to write and grow a loyal fan base. I still need 9 more to make the 500 followers achievement. I should have some anxiety about this but why? I didn’t think I would ever hit 10 followers let alone 10 fans on an article. Do you remember when you first started?
