HUNGER
A short poem of lasting love and connection.

I thought my hunger of you had past.
This hunger I feel still longs and lasts.
My thirst for you unquenchable.
My hunger for you insatiable.
This circle dance seems to go on forever.
Me and you, you in me; always together.
Anytime, anywhere, lay me down in the heather.
Anytime, anywhere, in any type of weather.
For hours I anticipate your taste.
Forgotten is my chaste.
We will move from this time to the next.
I will use any necessary pretext.
Your hunger for me is carnivorous.
As if I was something nutritious.
I am flattered you see the beauty of my soul.
That together we are whole.
This hunger left unfed becomes starvation.
So we drink deeply without reservation.
Lazily we bask in the essence of the moment.
We recognize we are equivalent.
