Humans Are Social Beings

Nothing can change us.

I wrote an article back in May, thinking the world will change for good after COVID-19.

I no longer believe the world will change. Change is hard.

But the hardest part is changing the fact that we humans are social beings. We need the face to face interaction. We still prefer the in-person meeting rather than the virtual meeting. Even when this means an increased risk of contracting coronavirus.

People are not wearing masks right now — in the middle of the pandemic. You expect them to take ANY precautions when a vaccine is out? I didn’t think so.

We’ll soon be back to counting minutes at the office. Back to packed buses, packed planes, packed theatres, packed stadiums, packed everything… breathing each other’s CO2, with that occasional sneeze and cough, and without giving a damn.

I must say, I don’t miss this part. I just miss life.
