How Your Fragile Heart Is a Superpower That No One Talks About
We all are the branches of the same tree.

This morning, I spoke to a spiritual teacher. His father passed away suddenly a few days back.
The message in his WhatsApp group told everyone to give him privacy and not to call him. But this morning, I felt an intense push from my heart and called him.
After a brief silence, he sobbed like a child. Gasping in between for his breath, he expressed his emotions. His trembling words and heartening emotions choked my heart.
I could feel his intense pain within me. I could feel his immense loss in my heart. I could feel his helplessness and vulnerability, yet his wisdom through his words.
After the call, my choking heart burst into tears.
I hardly knew his father. He was a spiritual mentor to many people. They have a lineage of saints. But I never met or knew him personally.
The tears were not of losing someone. The tears of his son flowed through me. The tears were of the pain that happens because of oneness. The tears and pain show that we all are one despite being separate individuals.
Life connects. Mind divides.
Once in Satsang, an enlightened saint said,
“We are different parts of the same body. If a hand is cut, the whole body feels the pain. Similarly, when a human cries from their heart, we all subtly feel the pain. But we have trained ourselves to become so insensitive that we discard the cries of others. The mind loves individuality. But inner intelligence is always interconnected.”
The proof is your heart.
Remember the time when you felt someone’s pain? Remember when sharing gave you much joy? Remember when your heart misses a beat reading something disastrous happening in some other part of the world?
It happens because you’re connected to life that expresses itself in different forms.
The cloud that sits over your mind is that — you need power.
Power to control others. Power over life. Power to be and live as you want with no resistance.
Your mind may lick the prospect of power. But the ultimate freedom does not happen through it. It happens when —
- You become free from the impulsive mind.
- You enter the sky and receptivity of the infinite love.
- You connect with the vast intelligence of life that spreads everywhere.
The heart may seem fragile, but it is mighty.
Often, people share their distrust over life. They fear the unexpected. The anxiety doesn’t let them sleep.
Why?
Because they want a certain control over life. They think they know better than the vast intelligence that made this whole universe.
You may hate the uncertainty. But it is foolishness that keeps you away from the magnificence of unpredictable life.
Life is like a flower.
The intellect can’t see the beauty of a flower. It wants to dissect it and produce it in the lab.
But the heart knows how fragile yet mesmerizing a flower can be. Its majesty stuns the receptive heart. Sometimes, profound silence can enter you if you are fully present in those beautiful moments.
However, the mind can never be silent.
That is why the major step of spirituality is to loosen the rigidity of the ego and enter the receptivity of the heart.
Intellect is a stiff corpse. But the heart is like a blooming flower. Fragile. Yet powerful.
Knowledge vs Wisdom
Tears are the language of the heart.
Hurt. Love. Loss. Bliss.
Unspoken emotions get an outlet through tears. It is beautiful.
For some, tears may be a sign of weakness. But this vulnerability shows the innocence and ultimate power to let go.
This morning, when he (spiritual teacher) let his tears out, I could only be silent. I didn’t want to disturb the flow. I wanted him to outpour. Not control his tears.
Being from a saintly lineage, his knowledge of ancient Sanskrit texts is vast. His intellect on spiritual topics is deep.
But his innocence gave him mighty strength to cry out his emotions, loosen them, and give an outlet to his feelings. He embraced himself without hiding behind the intellect.
This is wisdom. To be the way you are. And not cover yourself behind some theories and knowledge.
Knowledge is a waste if you don’t know how to use it. Intellect alone doesn’t give you strength.
The beauty of a fragile heart gives you the power to go through magnanimous pain. And also share the underlying oneness that connects us all.
Final Thoughts
You have trained yourself to be logical. Even in the maters of heart. The profit loss statements rule your life.
But there is a life beyond logic.
It is the world of heart. The world of innocence, purity, and oneness.
You don’t need others to be as pure as you are. You just need to find your love from the depths of being that gives you the power to live the way you want. To share as you want. To be and let others be as they would like.
Connect with the infinite wisdom. Instead of being just knowledgeable.
The heart is the way. The heart is the destination. Use it to crush what you know to enter the comfort of not knowing and stillness.
