How You Become The Person Who Achieves Everything You Set Your Mind To (the master plan)
You know people that when they say they are going to do something, they do it.
And you clicked on this article, so I can assume you are no that type of person.
And I know how it is like to be both these people because I have experienced both the scenarios.
I used to always quit when the motivations stopped, but now I achieve everything I say I am going to achieve.
So I talk out of experience.
I am not going to waste your time with a long intro like all other people, so let’s get right into it.
You can not do what you say you will do because your word does not mean much to you.
You can say, ‘’I am going to go to the gym every day’’
But if you do not, no big deal.
But for the people who achieve everything they set their mind to, it is a big deal.
Their word means a lot.
They will get out of their cosy bed at night into the cold, for their word not to get broken.
The only difference between the 2 people is how much their word is worth to them.
For most people their comfort is worth more than their word!
That is the case for you too.
Here is how you can make your word worth a lot to you.
But first let me tell you how you made it worth nothing.
You have set yourself so many goals in the past and failed, haven’t you?
If you keep not doing what you said, how can you trust yourself.
You can set yourself a goal, knowing you will not achieve it.
I know this because that used to be me.
How can you ever trust yourself?
So the only logical thing is to build that trust back.
By setting goals that are so easy that it is impossible not to achieve.
For example:
- Go for a 10 minute walk 3 times a week.
- Make $1 on medium in 1 month
- Call and check up on one person a day
I done those specific things because the 3 most important things in life are health wealth and relationships.
Create one easy goal.
Only one.
Then when you achieve it, increase the difficulty.
Increase the 10 minute walk to 15 minutes, or make it 4 times a week.
But do not increase it by too much.
Avoid setting any hard goals.
And from my experience, when you have not broken your word for 3 months, you do anything not to break it.
That is when you reach the level of getting out of your cosy bed into the cold for your word not to get broken.
But where most people still fail and the reason I failed so many times is because I started setting ridiculous goals, that is not in my hand.
For example, instead of saying:
- ‘’Make $10'’, say ‘’Write an article daily’’
- ‘’Lose 5kg’’, say ‘’Walk 30 minutes daily’’
- ‘’Build muscle’’, say ‘’Go to the gym for 1 hour daily’’
Make goals that you can control.
And that are not ridiculous!
If you achieve everything you set your mind to for 3 months, you will do anything to not lose your streak.
You will tell yourself, ‘’All I need to do is get out of bed for me not to lose my streak, staying in bed is not worth losing my streak for.’’
And you will be come the guy who will do anything not to break his word.
