What a fun time I had with this prompt. I apologize for totally ignoring the rhythm of the original. Thanks, Dr. Gabriella Korosi for starting us off with …

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a red-orange autumn leaf adrift on a sunny day’s breeze.

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a tulip peeking up after a long chilly underground winter.

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a rescued pup snuggled up next to my person, fireplace roaring, tummy full.

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a female bowerbird laughing at the crazy antics of the boys vying for my attention.

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a bonobo out on a limb feeling the tingle of another’s grooming sliding up and down my spine.

If I could be Anyone I want to be Anything I can be What would I be?

I would be a seventy something walking the neighborhood with a chatty third grader imagining the most disgusting sandwiches, and building magic clubhouses. No boys allowed.

Wait! That’s who I am. 😊
