We Managed to Grow Our Medium Audience
Audience growth is not that difficult when you accept the change

Our company has been writing on Medium since 2020 and we engaged with the public in many ways. Yet our audience reach could be much higher. After a while, we decided to change the strategy and try something else.
This is how we managed to increase our audience reach.
The Stats Do Not Lie

As you can see from the picture below, we have had 19 followers for several years. That started to change at the beginning of 2024.
How did we accomplish this? We will share soon.
The Strategy Shift

Change 1: Write About Something that Benefits Others
The first change we implemented was to invite more of our engineers to write. This resulted in more articles about Cloud Computing and AI which can benefit our readers. Some popular articles are listed below.
- Embracing the Future of Cloud Computing
- Power of AI in Software Development
- The Smart Way to Deploy Containers on The Cloud
- Amazon Cloud Cost Monitoring
Change 2: Leverage The Power of Publications
We applied to several publications and got some of the articles published there.
We started using publications to organize our posts as well. For example, we moved all podcast-related articles to the dedicated publication Founder Vision with Clearview.
Change 3: Engage With Other Writers
This change might have had the biggest impact.
We started reading other articles and leaving meaningful comments. After that, we would organize those articles in lists.
Change 4: Update Old Articles for Better SEO
Another change we implemented is a periodical update of old articles.
Sometimes, it is a mere change of styles or grammar; other times it is a new addition or update. This will change the article metadata so that the reader and Google know that the article has been updated recently which results in better SEO.
Summary

This was a short but sweet article about our experience in growing our audience.
Valuable tips were shared as we believe in a strong community that gives back.
