How Trial and Error Had a Huge Impact on Building My Career

And there’s no need to be intimidated by trial and error.

Trial and error helped me immensely in my career path. I think what comes with trying is a lot of anxiety. However, anxiety comes with everything. It’s a waste not to try something because you’re worried.

In my experience, trial and error only leads to growth. By trying, you will be able to see things that you couldn’t see, and you will be able to see scenery that you have never seen before. Therefore, I would like to share my experience, even if it is selfish.

I often hear about trial and error, but it can be scary to put it into practice.

Trial and error is well known as returning from where you fell and correcting your course to succeed even if you repeatedly fail. However, anyone who tries to put it into practice will be intimidated.

When I tried to try it myself, I worried a lot about what I would do if it got better than the current situation, but it would be better if it got worse than the current situation (running away in front of the enemy is not a good idea).

I decided to try it because of the management mindset at the company I joined as a new graduate and my growth process.

At that time, the company I joined as a new graduate had plans to expand its business in my home country. In this second year in the workforce, an opportunity arose to serve as a bridge between Japan and his home country.

However, when I opened the lid, the contents were not what I had imagined. Surprisingly, they were presented with treatment that discriminated between me and foreigners. They negotiated a price that could not even be accepted locally.

The face value offered was utterly unacceptable. Therefore, the answer to whether I could go to the site was “NO.”

In addition to dissatisfaction with treatment, there were other reasons as well.

  • The company’s growth is slowing, and it seems unlikely that the management will be able to rebuild its financial situation.
  • When you imagine yourself ten years from now, will you be rewarded for your hard work at your current company?

For the above reasons I have decided that I should leave the company.

Feeling a sense of crisis, I started trying to change jobs at a second company.

I began to feel anxious about my future and growth, so I started job hunting for a second company.

When I started my career, I didn’t pass the document screening at the company I applied to, which was really tough for me mentally. The people who helped me at that time were the three people who interviewed me for the second company.

Thanks to these three people, my way of thinking started to change. I have become more conscious of improving my technical skills and have begun to improve myself. I became more proactive and began to think seriously about what I wanted to do.

At my second company, I came across a Salesforce implementation project and started thinking about building a career around Salesforce implementation projects.

In search of a working environment where I can do many things I want to do, I started changing jobs at my third company.

Looking for a working environment where I can handle many Salesforce projects, I started job hunting for my third company. When it came time to change jobs for my third company, the anxiety I felt when changing jobs for the first time was significantly reduced.

At my third company, I was involved in many Salesforce implementation projects and accumulated a lot of knowledge. Although I caused a lot of trouble to the people around me, everyone looked after me kindly.

I’m proud to have worked at my third company, and it was a great working environment with good team members.

Exactly two years after I started working, I wanted to work for a company that could support my further growth and provide me with the skills I lacked.

Aiming for further growth and skill improvement, I started trying to change jobs at my fourth company.

Looking for an environment that would provide full support for acquiring qualifications, I started job hunting for my 4th company. When I changed positions at my fourth company, I completed the selection process in about two weeks and could visualize the results of my efforts.

I’m currently working at my 4th company and enjoying my work. I’m also doing activities that will help me grow.
