Learning about the Author
Getting to know the writer is the first thing I do while reviewing their contribution. What has this author written previously? Is it a copycat? Does this convey stories? After completing that, I read the author’s other pieces. Most of the time, they also make the writer’s identity and character type clear. I can tell when a writer uses poor grammar and when there are several errors. I look for plagiarism after reading the paper in its entirety. As soon as I locate one, I will inform the author to make the piece as distinctive and original as possible.
Carefully reading the article
Carefully read the article that the writer sent. The subject matter that the writer writes on must be familiar to and understood by you. Further information regarding the content that the writer submits is crucial. When I write about classical music, the editor needs to be somewhat knowledgeable about the subject matter, but you should also explore the topic. At that point, you’ll know what needs editing. Moreover, before editing, read the entire article. Editing the article does not imply that you will revise it and provide the necessary adjustments. Make recommendations to the writer. The author must revise their work.
Searching for grammatical errors
I scan the article for grammatical errors. Grammarly is one tool that I use quite a bit. This is an excellent tool for correcting all grammatical errors. However, if they become excessive, I will inform the writer and request that they correct these errors. LanguageTool is an additional tool I utilize. This tool (or the other way around) highlights additional problems that I haven’t noticed in Grammarly.

Giving writers advice on how to phrase a sentence is a terrific method to help them become more proficient writers. I enjoy making recommendations and watching writers develop as authors. Some authors are open to developing as artists, while others believe they already know everything there is to know.
