Natural numbers are perfectly random as they occur. They have always fascinated me. When captured in a lottery game, it can transform dreams into reality especially if their occurrence is carefully understood, nurtured and nourished with expectancy and optimism. Practice makes perfect, like any sporting game.

Regular lottery wins of various amounts can encourage the habit of playing the lottery in moderation with financial prudence and great financial restraint. The lottery is essentially a game of risks, not unlike life itself. The Singapore lottery game of Toto is similar to other games usually called “Lotto” in some countries. In Singapore, 6 numbers from 1 to 49 plus an “additional” number are drawn at random using a machine. A prize pool is established at 54% of sales for a draw. About $2.8 million is “invested” in each game that is played twice per week.

Typically, players spend $1.00 to play a single board whereby they select 6 numbers in the hope of becoming an instant millionaire. The Jackpot prize from getting all 6 numbers in one draw has a minimum guaranteed amount of $1,000,000. The Jackpot will just rollover into the next draw, up to 4 consecutive draws, if there were no winner. Players pay more should they wish to select more than 6 numbers or participate in certain configuration schemes.

The selection of more numbers per board, called “Systems”, are available with a higher payment, should one wish to increase the chances of winning the Jackpot’s final 6 numbers.

There is no best Toto number(s). True randomness over hundreds of games, at a frequency of 2 weekly game draws, should have produced nearly the same frequency from all the individual 49 numbers. However, this did not happen in any time period, from official data provided by Singapore Pools of their Toto games drawn since 9 October 2014.

Choosing 6 mutually independent numbers from 1 to 49, one at a time by the Game Master using a man-made machine or a computer software effectively interferes with natural randomness. Man-made machines and computer software have embedded algorithms and technical bias which destroy true randomness, making them predictable when the winning selection thereby become systematically skewed in preference for certain number(s). This is true even if the machines or software have been frequently “scrubbed” and/or replaced.

We can see this from the frequency of winning numbers (see Table below) over more than 700 game draws from 9 Oct 2014, by courtesy of Singapore Pools. The frequency ranges from 122 for the number 40 to 82 for the number 45. The Natural Law of True Randomness mandates that they should be about the same frequency for all numbers after several hundred or infinite draws.

The winning Toto numbers over time do not appear random; they are therefore not randomly “selected”, and the “luck” of each number appearing could therefore be predictable by data analytics and data science from the application of mathematics and statistics.

LOTTERY TOTO WINNING NUMBERS ARE PREDICTABLE

It is no fun playing against the natural randomness of numbers. The above Frequency Table shows clearly some “Hidden Hands”, attributed by some to be Lady Luck or Divine Grace or Prosperity God or whoever, that choose to reward some humans and not others in different and variable amounts, and with uncertain regularity. Some are more frequently luckier than others; most never truly win anything at all during their lifetimes.

For the lucky many playing the Toto Lottery regularly, a weekly investment facilitated by a standing subscription often becomes a passive income pipeline over the years. They may not align with your relationship with Lady Luck or other Gods or gods of wealth and prosperity. Latest analysis from the latest data on the winning Toto numbers revealed that many numbers appeared regularly as the top winning numbers. The following Table on Highest 15 and Lowest 10 Toto Numbers is crystal clear on this fact:

The Table suggests that one does not have to bet on all the 49 Toto numbers in order to win the Jackpot, or some money. There are about 14 million combinations of 6 numbers selected from 49 numbers; and among which is The Jackpot. This means having to invest nearly $14 million to win with a single board combination with odds of 1:13,983,816. A 1-in-14 million chance!

In the event, each would pocket $100,000 … not bad for an initial investment of only $2,700.

One can also form a 100-person Syndicate to play the Most frequent 30 numbers. This would require buying 594,000 Toto tickets. Each Syndicate member shall spend $5,940 in expectation of winning. In the event, each would pocket $50,000. They have a better 64.6% chance of winning.

Syndication is all about sharing. Whether 3, 20, 50, or 100 members will work for you depends on the degree of mutual trust, commitment and gaming approach. Efficient recording and communication of tickets purchased as well as prompt payments and disbursement of winnings will generate trusts and confidence. A written general agreement on key outcomes would also facilitate team dynamics and reduce misunderstanding in the event of winning the Jackpot or other high Prize groups

There is no guaranteed way to win the Jackpot Prize. The Toto draws are all mutually independent events, and therefore prior numbers combinations do not have any influence on their future occurrences or absence.
