To earn this amount, all you need to do is direct people to your own membership page where they can sign up to become paying members.
You’ll find your personal membership page under your Medium URL + /membership, like this: https://burkrosemann.medium.com/membership.
The more effective way
One issue with this procedure is the additional step it takes for people to sign up. You might lose them right there. Here’s how you bypass this step:
- Go to your membership page
- Right-click on “Become a member”.
- In the menu, select “copy link” (see image below)
- Copy the link address (Example link: https://medium.com/plans?subscribeToUserId=231104518f37&source=entity_driven_subscription-231104518f37------------------------------------)
- Use this link in your promotional efforts. It directly takes potential members to the sign-up form while still giving you the benefits of the referral.
