How to tinder
- Write your height down. Us tall women really do appreciate the time you are saving us.
- Include pictures of you doing cool things*. Your pictures do not only serve as a way to get matches, they also serve as conversation starters. Long game fellows, think about the long game (read: after the match).
- Cool things do not include sitting on the game of thrones throne. Stop it. You are not the blood of the dragon. Also, that place is you all went to has horrible lighting.
3. Don’t include, “Not into...” or “Don’t date girls who…” or anything along those negative, judgemental, ‘I-have-so-many-options’ lines. You come off as an asshole. If you hate vegans — fine — say “I am a meat-eater. I love all the meats,” not “No vegans.” See the difference! Fellow meat-eaters will talk to you! No one is going say, “I hate vegans too — let’s go to a cool vegan-hater event together!” But they might say, “I love all the meats too! What’s your favourite meaty dish?”
4. Your description is a conversation starter: use it as one.
5. Women are more likely to respond to you if you ask them about their description / interests demonstrated by their pictures. This is a more effective strategy than telling them they are hot. Source.
6. There is nothing hotter than a man who knows about, thinks about, and respects feminism. Example
7. Number 6 men know not to ask women to a secluded place on the first meet. If you ask one of your matches to ‘go on a picnic in the woods,’ either you are a rapist, or you have not had much interaction with women in your life. Figure it out.
8. Expanding on the point above: women are afraid that men will kill / rape them, so do not include photos of you with weapons. It’s scary.
9. No pictures taken in mirrors —the fact you were in a suit did not make it OK. 0–1 selfies are acceptable.
10. Ask questions! Example, when a woman asks you a question, include at the end of your response the words, “what about you?”
11. Remember what grandpa said, “The moment I stopped trying to find the right woman, and started trying to become the right man, your grandmother walked up to me and said, ‘Hello.’”
