How to Stop Being Lazy: 5 Practical Techniques

People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals — that is, goals that do not inspire them. — Tony Robbins

Laziness is a challenging task; it takes a lot of energy. However, it cannot make any energy.

Let’s define laziness.

Laziness means doing nothing.

After accepting that you are doing nothing, it’s possible to find a solution.

There could be many causes of doing nothing: tiredness, lack of motivation, stress (unwanted task). etc

Would you put it off anything if you want to accomplish that thing from the bottom of your heart?

When I started my online journey to make money, I read on Reddit that a guy was always writing. He was not worried about making money but creating content in the first six months.

Someone asked him why you are working so hard all the time.

He simply replied

I want it,

I want to do more than you

I want it more than anyone

That’s the motivation to accomplish a goal.

You are lazy because you want to do something you don’t like to do.

But why are you forcing yourself to do something you don’t want to do?

The meaning of life is to live a meaningful life. — Bill Phillips

Here is my TWO STEPS approach to overcoming laziness.

Here in this article, I am going to share 5 practical techniques that the Japanese have been using for centuries to overcome laziness. Japanese are known as one of the hardest working people on the planet.

Ikigai

Discover your purpose in your life.

Find you WHY?

Then, it’s only possible to overcome laziness promptly.

Maybe go on a long walk, introspect, and choose something that aligns with your strength, a little bit of passion, and what you want to accomplish in life in the long run.

This will help you understand the true meaning of life.

Kaizen

Focus on tiny improvements.

Nothing happened overnight in the world.

Great things take time to complete.

Start a 30-day challenge to test the waters.

A challenge will help you understand if you are on the right path.

Aim for a tiny progress, brick by brick.

Pomodoro

The technique originated in Italians, but it’s pretty famous in Japan.

Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break to refresh your brain.

Do push-ups, listen to songs, take deep breaths, and do whatever makes you happy before returning to work for the next 25-minute sessions.

I merely started to do 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. Now, my focus span is 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute break.

Hara Hachi Bu

Eat until you are 80% full.

Never stuff yourself.

It will help you feel energized throughout the day.

And energy means more productivity.

Shoshin

Always approach tasks with a beginner mindset.

Perfect does not exist in this world.

It does not matter how hard you work. There is always room for improvement.

Just be open to learning and keep trying new things.
