How To Relieve Stress For A Woman
Super-Simple Ways To Relieve Stress in Women

It’s no news that long-term stress can take a quick toll on our health, but most people do not know that stress is more common in women than men.
I have seen a lot of women go through immense medical care, which resulted from stress that could have been easily avoided.
Stress can cause a lot of physical, mental, and emotional problems, especially for women who spend most of their quality time nurturing their kids and tending to the needs of their household.
In this article, we will explore some ways to relieve stress and some symptoms of stress in a woman. All you need to do now is grab a seat and a cup of tea because I am about to take you on a ride! Let’s go!
Before we begin, I would like us to know what it means to be stressed out or how we can easily be stressed:
There was a time around last year when I was heading to school to sit for my final exam; I was at the bus park waiting patiently for the bus to arrive, then suddenly something caught my attention, and I stood there with a lot going through my mind from what I saw.
I saw a man and a beautiful lady who I assumed to be his wife who was supposed to be walking side by side as every couple would, the woman was carrying a bag pack and her baby on one side of her shoulders and a little boy on the other side of her hand.
She was looking too tired to walk fast while the husband was a little ahead of them taking a selfie and all of a sudden turned back and asked her to smile to the camera; like seriously?
Who can smile in such a situation? She was stressed! Like he was holding nothing and expecting a natural smile from her face?
At this point, I shook my head and turned to enter the bus in front of me that was about leaving I couldn’t look in that direction because I was pissed at the sight of it.
Avoiding stress as a woman may not be easy or achievable, but it is possible to reduce or manage it. The following are practical and helpful ways we can reduce stress:
Take care of your body.
Focus on your internal and external body; here are ways you can achieve that:
Healthy eating: I used to be a victim of skipping meals and eating late-night food; you can easily guess my silly excuse: yes, work!
My mother sometimes calls me a workaholic because if I am not working at the office, I am at home doing some remote jobs; this has made me skip meals and, most times, eat very late at night.
This is totally unhealthy because I usually wake up feeling too lazy and tired. Eating good food will help you stay active and healthy.
Exercise: some time ago, I had this funny mindset that waking up early in the morning and walking or running around the streets or following some instructions from a gym instructor to keep fit is a total waste of time and money.
Now I no longer have that mindset because I now have a daily exercise routine which helped me to reduce stress and stay active, thanks to my friend.
Getting enough sleep
The importance of sleep cannot be over-emphasized; rest has many impacts on our health, and of course, lack of enough sleep will affect our day-to-day activities.
There was a time when I was assigned an important task at the office; I was given a deadline to complete it in three days.
Honestly, that task was simple and could be done in a day and a half, and as a result, I felt relaxed and waited till a day before the deadline.
To meet the deadline, I had to work the heck out of me, slept for a bit of time, woke up the following day feeling like the whole world was on my shoulders. Always ensure you get ENOUGH sleep to preserve energy and to ensure a smooth productivity.
Create time for yourself
You can create alone time for yourself after a stressful week; ask your husband to help you look after the kids, then visit a spa and get a good spa treatment, get your nails done, or visit a cinema.
Do anything that will keep you happy and peaceful from within. Engage in some entertaining or romantic conversation with your husband and have fun. This will help improve your physical appearance and make you look younger.
Be Social
Find time to hang out with friends and loved ones. You can go on a vacation with your friends and avoid things that will keep you too busy to be social.
Attend parties, wedding invitations, and other things that will give you time to talk and laugh with other people. Engage in social activities that will ease your stress.
Stay positive and plan
There are higher chances of less stress if you already know what and how your day will be; if you do, plan how and when to carry out every task of the day, ensure to create short breaks within, eat healthy, and interact with people around you, your day is sure to be less stressful but fun at the end of the day.
