How to Overcome Your Anxiety if You Have No One to Help You

That Damned Mind

It is our own minds that cause us so much pain. If we could remove parts of our brain, we stood a chance of being happy, but we can’t and we need not.

You don’t need to lose your mind. You don't need to numb or dumb yourself down by taking anything. That would be limiting yourself, and never the answer. What a human being is looking for is to be whole and limitless.

Anxiety is caused by conflict within ourselves. It is a consequence of a mind running wild. It is suffering a situation that may or may never even happen.

You need help when you have anxiety and if you went to get help from someone, they would tell you to let your anxiety go. They would tell you to surrender and let it go as if at that point of anxiety, you can just surrender or let it go.

It doesn’t work like that.

Nobody knows exactly what surrender really means. Surrender what? Your problems? And pretend they don’t exist? You could, but it’s not that simple. You can't just let your anxiety go. You can’t just surrender your problems.

Willing your anxiety away is a sort of escapism. The only way you can truly escape is to lose your mind. You don’t want that and you can’t run either. You must confront your anxiety.

You must confront and deal with it or it’ll create conflict and discord with your soul, with all of humanity, and with divinity.

Conflict and Discord

There are always two or more versions of yourself, and whenever there’s conflict within the mind about yourself, the result is anxiety.

If a part of you thinks your existence in this life is a mistake and there’s another part of you that has once believed that your life has a greater purpose, you are bound to suffer anxiety.

You don’t have to suppress your thoughts or emotions. If you do so, you will suffer. Whatever the mind wants to think, let it think. That’s your mind’s job. If your heart is feeling an emotion, allow it to feel. It’s only doing its job.

It’s your job to be calm about what your mind is thinking because it’s just a thought and not yet permanent. It only becomes permanent when you act out your thoughts and feelings.

Don't act out on anxious thoughts.

Also, avoid the trap of blaming the genetics of your anxious mother or grandmother for your anxiety. If you do that, you are in serious trouble because you can’t change any of those people. You don’t have that kind of control.

You can only control yourself.

You can reunite the versions of yourself in conflict by bringing them together.

Uniting The Selves

What a human being wants is to become limitless, and for this to happen, you have to create a steady vessel. You are smart as an individual, but you don’t have a steady enough platform to control your mind.

This platform is you. You are the vessel.

It’s your mind that causes pain, so if you can steady yourself, you can control your mind, so it stops hurting you.

There are many ways to steady yourself. Sleeping steadies and calms the mind. Writing can achieve that purpose. Listening to music does that too. Meditation is wonderful and so is putting your palms together.

There is something magical about putting one’s hands together.

It’s the reason certain people read palms.

Palms are considered portals that hold much information about your destiny. They contain details that can shed insight into certain things. So by placing your palms together, you bring all parts of yourself together to remember.

You reunite the masculine and the feminine that are often in disagreement and the higher and lower selves that work against each other. By bringing your hands together, you are reuniting the different versions of yourself, reminding them they are supposed to be working together and not against.

Together, it resolves conflict and dissolves anxiety.

By bringing the left and right hand together, you are merging the truths about who you are really and removing all confusion amongst the different versions of yourself that are thinking and believing different things about you.

This is why so many people place their palms together when they pray.

The prayer hand means unity. We place our hands together to say a prayer, and immediately we feel okay. In unity, the truth is revealed, and you can get the answers that you seek if you seek with all of your heart.

The situation won’t change just by placing your palms together. Problems may remain, but you will be reminded of the truth.

When you know the truth, how you respond to problems and situations will definitely change. By changing the way you respond to things, you could break through.

So go ahead and give it a try.

Set the intention that you will help yourself because no one is coming to help you.

Now place your palms before you and look at the details in your left and right hands. They are similar. Place them together perfectly, detail to detail, locking them in place.

Breathe deeply into your being, supplying all of yourself with a much-needed breath of fresh air.

Ground yourself in the present moment by meditating on something that you hold so dear to your heart. It could be a higher power, the sun, or the moon. It can be your lover, a child, or your pet. It could even be your passion, your life’s purpose, or your soul’s mission. Look at or think of whatever you choose with utmost love and appreciation and recognize how important that thing is to you.

Do this with belief and something magical will happen.

Your anxiety will dissolve as conflict resolves. Discord will leave as all versions of you vibrate in one accord. As you become one, you will feel peace rush over you. Embrace and hold on to it.

It's yours now.
