EASY MEDITATION AND WELLNESS

How to Meditate While Walking ?

A quick walk into nirvana for the people with tight schedule

Meditation calms the soul, it stabilizes the mind and generates a special energy in you and the ones around you. Still, most of us don’t have the time to do it. We all are busy in our own little world — where we are depressed, worried and scared.

Cleansing the soul is as vital as taking care of your body.

If we meditate even for a little bit, it can do wonders for us. It can drastically change our mood, bring tranquility to our minds and charm to our face. Our social life will be much better and at the end of the day we will find ourselves at peace instead of being exhausted. Mental health is very important, unhealthy mind can cause depression, anger and anxiety. Meditation can help eradicate these problems.

I understand that we all are busy, but we can meditate even while we are walking. Yes! you read that right. Good news huh ?

It literally could be anytime. Maybe you are on your way to work, maybe you are going to school — or jogging on your treadmill. It doesn’t matter, it could be anytime and it’s very easy once you master it.

It is one of the easiest but effective ways of meditation while walking , which I personally practise. The whole process can be done in 5-10 minutes. You should maintain meditation as a habit and include it in your lifestyle.

Life is built on top of the habits you make

Inception

Start your walk at a medium pace and feel the gentle touch of ground to the sole of your shoes. If you are in a very crowded place, it’s time for you to practise the art of stillness. Try to empty your mind and cease all kind of thoughts from entering your mind. Keep your eyes open but don’t concentrate on anything else except your meditation.

Second phase

Feel all the pressure, stress and anxiety building up in your head — being transferred to your fists. Take three deep breaths at different intervals while imagining all the tension consolidating in your fists. While inhaling each deep breath, slowly tighten your fists and release it during each exhales. Witness the touch sensation of your finger skin on your palm skin.

Third phase

Don’t slow down your walk, you have to keep walking without exhausting your body. In your head you should be calm with zero amount of thoughts popping up. Forget about everything that is going on in your life and just concentrate on your wellness. Your mind is in a complete state of stillness and you are no longer worried about anything.

Final phase

Now, it’s time for the final phase of breathing. This time you have to take a deep breath and tighten your fist as much as you can. Feel all the pressure building while inhaling and stay like that for at least 5 seconds. Now, release your fists and exhale. You will feel a lot better and you are no longer worried about the rest of your day. You are calm and have controlled your restless soul. Keep concentrating on your breaths, feel those mild fresh breaths and visualize a clearer picture of life. Visualize the day ahead of you and think of the small wins that you are going to have today. It is these small wins that eventually turn into bigger wins.

Remember

Your day has been planned out and you are more confident than others. Nothing can stop you except you yourself. Knockdown those boundaries that you have set for yourself.

You are the master of your soul and the protector of your life.

The meditation is over and now you can bring yourself back to the outer world.

This entire process is very easy and you can master it in a very small amount of time. You will save a lot of energy and your mind will remain calm. Now, you are good to go, it’s time for you to tackle down those hurdles and achieve those goals that you have set for yourself. I am pretty sure you will fly out with brilliant colors. Believe in yourself. Don’t forget to be grateful for what you already have

because gratitude always reciprocates.
