How To Make Yourself Employable in 2024
If you’re reading this, you might still be on annual leave, and work is probably the last thing on your mind right now. I don’t blame you either.
However, I’d invite you to think about your career in 2024 as you head back to work next week. I don’t want to put a damper on anything, but hoping and praying won’t cut it in tomorrow’s world.
AI Isn’t Going Anywhere
Two out of three employees in the U.K. fear AI overtaking jobs. Coupled with new numbers from The Recruitment and Employment Confederation, demand for permanent staff is down to 38.9%, the lowest and steepest drop since the Pandemic in June 2020, its bad news right? It’s not ideal.
However, as an Employee, you can do your bit to make yourself stand out, be competitive and ready for when the time is right. How? Upskilling.

The old formula of getting great grades at good schools and going to a top university has been turned on its head. It’s no wonder that many feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to navigate these uncertain times.
I see so many talented and competent people who are struggling to manage their careers. Why? They’re feeling the heat under the collar because the only constant in In today’s fast-paced world of work, is change and uncertainty. The fear associated with uncertainty is holding many back because they’re still using the old formula to excel. It doesn’t work anymore.
Here are some tips to help you make yourself more employable
