Medium is a platform for writers and readers. It allows the writer to contribute to the platform and entertain the reader community. A big number of people are on the platform because they got hope that they will make money on Medium. Medium has changed a lot in some years. Medium keeps changing its terms and policies.

Once there was a time when people were got paid for dropping claps. Meaning the creators earn for receiving applause from readers.

Back in 2020, it was easy to join Medium Partner Program. There was no limitation or restriction. Anywhere in the world was allowed to Join MPP. Then, Medium updated its policy and it makes 100 followers, 1 post, and stripe-supported country eligibility criteria to join the Medium Partner Program.

Not only non-MPP writers are discouraged by Medium rejecting them to be in Partner Program. Even some MPP writers complain that they cannot make enough money on Medium.

If you are one, bother following these methods to boost your earning on Medium

1. Optimise your Heading

Optimizing a heading means writing a comprehensive, clear, and interesting heading.

2. Be relevant

It is important to be relevant to your heading. Write what you claim in your heading. It will keep the reader engaged and will increase your member’s reading time.

3. Referral link

Must share your referral link at the end if you post. You will get half of every referral. It will also boost your earning.

4. Relevant post

Must share the relevant post at the end of your article. Your readers might also get attracted to it and will read them. Again, member reading time will increase, thus, earnings will too.

5. Tipping

Medium introduce a new feature called tipping. You have to activate it manually. Don’t ignore it just activate your tipping. You can activate it with any tipping site. I personally like to buy me a coffee because it’s easy to go platform.

Make Money without Medium Partner Program

The first few methods are the same as mentioned in the above section.

You have to optimize your heading, be relevant, share post links, and activate tipping.

Some specific methods are as follows:

Build your audience — You are a creator, you are a talent, build your audience in a specific niche and make them fans of your content.

Website — Create a new blog and also refer your Medium audience to your blog/website. You will earn money through your monetized website by referring your Medium audience.

Affiliate Marketing — Build your audience on a specific niche. Keep helping them with informative knowledge and promote the relevant affiliate links.

Ebook — As a writer, you should self-publish your book on your niche. Your audience will love to read your book. Refer your audience to your book.

Supporter page — Must create a page for your fans and supporter where they can support you. You can make a page on Buy Me a Coffee, ko-fi, or Patreon.

Sell courses — If you are an expert at a certain thing, compile your expertise in the form of a course and sell it. Share your course link with your audience.
