How to make money online, according to TikTokers
7 Money Makers Being Shared Online
If you’ve had a hankering to make a little extra money lately, you’re not alone. We’re getting close to Q4 and shopping season is very near. I used to do arbitage every holiday season to make a few hundred dollars extra for holiday shopping.
I’ve heard of other people picking up side hustles, taking on overtime, or getting a seasonal second job to make some extra cash around this time.
I went to TikTok to see what people were talking about, in regards to making money online.
I was curious to hear what people were talking about and what they were having success with.
Here’s what I found out…
7 Ways to Make Money Online, according to TikTokers
1. Affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing, also referred to as digital marketing on TikTok, is about referring products to an audience and earning a commission on the sale.
Some examples:
- You refer your email marketing platform to your audience of new bloggers looking to make money online. You earn $50/month (recurring) for each signup you get.
- Referring sweepstakes or contests to your audience of couponers or stay-at-home moms, making you $1 per email submit you get.
- Sharing a grocery delivery service with your audience of moms, making $10 per signup to the grocery delivery service
There are thousands of affiliate programs out there. And, the commission you earn can be a flat amount, a percentage, a one-time payment, or a recurring commission.
I’ve made between $1.75 to $1,000+ per commission on the affiliate programs I’m in.

This is the program a lot of TikTokers are pushing. I’ve gone through it myself and I liked it.
Here’s my free ebook you can grab to learn more about how affiliate marketing works.
2. Cliqly
People are still talking about Cliqly. This is the email marketing system where you sign up and start sending pre-written emails to an email list Cliqly prepares for you.
You earn 10 cents per click from those emails. They have a referral program as well.
I searched TikTok for Cliqly income results and this is what I learned…
- $18 after one day from @makemoneywith_laur
- $352 in 4 weeks from @sidehustlestabby
- $627 in 30 days from @dadpreneur_adam
Here are some reviews I’ve written about Cliqly…
3. Remotasks

This is an online platform where you can sign up to complete small online jobs like data entry, etc.
They have over 200K taskers and have paid out more than 15 million dollars.
The results on this one is mixed. I’ve seen comments from taskers who have made $40 to comments from taskers who make $800 a week.
4. Rev

This is online transcription. You get paid to type what you hear (turn audio into a written transcript). You sign up, do the training through Rev, and then do Rev jobs for money.
This one is all over TikTok. I actually signed up and did the training several years back but, never got to the part where you apply to jobs. Something came up at the time.
There are captioning jobs too.
5. AI Ebooks
There are a bunch of ways you can do this but, basically…
- You start with an AI writer, like ChatGPT, for example
- Give it prompts to outline and write your ebook then,
- Put it together in a Word doc or Google Docs and,
- Use Canva to make your graphics and ebook cover
I have used AI to help me write ebooks but, I think the best ebooks come from human writing or human-AI blended writing. So, if you do this, I recommend moderate to heavy editing to give the book your voice, style, and tone.
Then, I’d sell it on Gumroad, which I’m personally a big fan of.
6. Content milling
Sites like Textbroker and others are shared on TikTok. You sign up as a writer, some have a writing test and once you’re in, you can either apply for writing jobs that are available or assign yourself gigs from a queue.
These are low-paying but, the whole idea of content milling is volume. It’s a volume game, for sure.
If you write and don’t mind this kind of work, go for it.
7. Amazon Influencer
The on-site commissions program pays you for your UGC Amazon videos you create of Amazon products you have access to.
You join the Amazon Influencer program first, then, once approved, you can request to join On-site commissions.
You film and post 3 videos for approval and once Amazon approves you, you’re in.
I started this side hustle but, after my first 2 rounds of videos getting declined, I was reluctant to submit a third round of videos. I’ll get around to this soon and share an update.
Influencers are making up to $17K/month with this.
