Selling through your images using Pinterest

However, we are still faced with a problem in this regard. Including images of your products that people can click through to purchase will be a breeze if your board is about great interior design ideas and your company sells furniture and decorative items, as this will be the case. However, if you sell life insurance and your board is all about “fun family days out,” you will not be able to sell directly through the board without any difficulties. So, how do you generate sales from that situation?

In general, your goal will not be to sell anything in this situation directly. Instead, the plan will be to increase awareness of your brand while simultaneously establishing trust and authority.

The hope is that your audience will come to regard you as an authority on the subject of families and life insurance and that when they are ready to learn more about purchasing a policy, they will click on your links.

This is, of course, a less direct method of selling, but in the long run, it can be a lot more effective because you are establishing a long-term relationship with your customer and establishing yourself as a thought leader in your particular field.

Meanwhile, it would help if you considered the comments that you are adding to your photographs as you take them. This is your opportunity to promote your product by linking the image directly back to your website.

Suppose you’re posting images of people doing home workouts to your Instagram account to provide inspiration and ideas to your followers.

You can monetize those images by including a note at the bottom of each image explaining that they can find more moves like those shown in the image in your eBook at THIS link.

The wonderful thing about Pinterest is that it truly does take advantage of the viral power of social media networks to spread its content.

If your board is truly adding value, this fact alone will be sufficient to ensure that it continues to grow organically.

People will likely repin your pins, leave comments on them, and discover what you are posting using the search button.

Suppose you’re consistently putting out new content, staying on topic, and offering genuine value in the form of a simple service of some kind. In that case, people will begin to gravitate toward your brand, and you’ll start to build a following.

However, this does not rule out the possibility of taking additional steps to expedite your progress even further.

Here are a few suggestions for how you can increase your following more quickly:

Post regularly: The more frequently you post, the more likely your images will be discovered in searches. At the same time, they’ll appear more frequently in users’ home feeds, increasing the likelihood that other users will repin them and, as a result, share them with their audiences, resulting in increased exposure for you.

Choose Your Hashtags Carefully: Just as it is on Twitter, selecting the appropriate hashtags is one of the most important factors in ensuring that your images receive the greatest possible exposure. The tags will determine which searches will bring up your pictures, and as a result, they will be directly responsible for the number of people who discover your brand.

Remember to consider the types of frequently searched things on the platform when selecting your tags. Keep in mind the kinds of things that people use Pinterest for and the fact that the majority of the audience is female (85%).

Remember, too, that people are looking for visuals to engage with. The phrase “how to” isn’t quite as appropriate here (the word “life hack” is more appropriate).

Leave Comments: If you upload an image without leaving a comment, you deny the image any context. You won’t get the most out of it as a result simply because people won’t understand what you’re trying to convey through the image. Provide instructions on how to perform the bodyweight exercise if it is one!

If it is a decorative item for the home, describe how it can be used, what materials it is made of, and where it can be purchased for others to use. If you upload an image, make sure to link it to your brand; otherwise, people may only appreciate the picture and never engage with your profile as the person who uploaded it!

Interact with Others: Reciprocity is a very underappreciated tool in the world of social media. This is still a social networking site, and as such, it should be used as a communication tool whenever possible.

The more you converse with others, the more likely they will visit your profile and look through your boards of interests.

Check in with your followers, repin, and engage in other social media activities. If nothing else, this will help build goodwill because you will be assisting those who are promoting themselves as well!

Improve the Integration of Your Website: One of the most important things you can do to promote your brand on Pinterest and increase the number of people who find you are to link your website and your Pinterest account together properly.

There are a few different approaches that you can take. One way is to include a link to your Pinterest profile on your website’s homepage.

A visitor who visits your website for the first time decides that they like your content may choose to follow you on social media and may then choose to check out your Pinterest account and follow the performance or the boards you have created.

Another suggestion is to include a social sharing tool such as ‘Shareabolic’ or a similar one on your website.

If you have a WordPress site, these can be installed very quickly and easily, and they will then allow people to quickly and easily ‘Pin’ an article that they found interesting, along with an image, to their boards on Pinterest. As a result, more people will be sharing your pictures, and you will gain more exposure due to this.

Cross-Pollinate: You should also make an effort to cross-pollinate between your various social media channels regularly. If you have a very successful Twitter account, for example, you might consider tweeting about the “inspiring boards” you’re creating on Pinterest from time to time.

Similarly, you can post your pins to Facebook so that others can see them. This should be done regularly to assist in growing all of your accounts at the same time.

Consider Pinterest when creating content: If you’ve heard of the term “clickbait,” you’ll be familiar with how many website owners are now creating content specifically to encourage shares on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

This is content that employs a cryptic title to pique readers’ interest and, as a result, generate more clicks. It’s infuriating, but it’s effective, and websites like Buzzfeed have built their businesses on the back of this model.

Essentially, the point is that planning ahead of time for how you will distribute your content is a wise decision. Pinterest marketing follows the same rules as other forms of online marketing. Is there anything that an article must have to be successful on Pinterest?

It is as simple as this: it requires an excellent image to make the article more compelling (this will also help when other people share your pictures and your pages).

Please make certain that you are creating unique images for your site and that they are designed in such a way that they effectively sell the content of your article or blog post and encourage people to click on the URL that you have provided in the image.

Tips that can be conveyed through a single image, memes, and inspirational quotes are examples of things that can be effective.

It is also important to note that certain embodiments automatically attract more attention than others — for example, we are psychologically hardwired to notice pictures of people!
