Instagram is the only source of income for many users. With the stress of having a “normal job” many aspire to make money on social media platforms like Instagram. People are tired of having a boss and not doing what they want, so they start dreaming about having the perfect carrier: Instagramer. Due to the huge amount of people that start making money on social media platforms, Brands and Instagram are responding to this phenomenon by offering users lots of options to make an income.

1. Influencer platforms

You don’t need a lot of followers to become an influencer. A lot of companies are looking for micro-influencers to promote their products. Joining a platform is the best option if you want to become an influencer because you don’t have to wait for a brand to notice you on Instagram. Some platforms let you join a campaign, while others are showing you the campaigns that are suitable for you, based on your profile.

5 Platforms for influencers:

  • Influence4You
  • Influry
  • AspireIQ
  • Tapinfluence
  • #Paid

There are many other platforms, hundreds of them. The best part is, that you can have an account on every platform that you like.

2. Promote other accounts

You don’t need many followers, you can start promoting other accounts even if you have just 1000 followers.

Usually, the prices start from $2–$5 and raise as you are getting more followers. All you have to do is make a post on your feed or story with the account you promote.

The best way to let users know that you promote other accounts is to write it in your description.

3. Affiliate Programs

Affiliate marketing means promoting a product/service and receiving a commission when someone buys it.

Lots of Instagram creators make money using affiliate programs. It’s easy to start doing it and you don’t need too many followers.

There are many brands/companies that offer Affiliate Marketing programs such as Amazon, Share a Sale, Rakuten.

4. IGTV

Instagram introduced ads on IGTV that will appear when you click to watch a video from the video’s preview in someone’s Instagram feed. An ad has a maximum of 15 seconds. The creator will benefit from the Ads, by receiving 55% of ad revenue.

Instagram is still testing the IGTV monetization, and at the moment just a few selected creators are benefiting. At the moment, they announced that in 2021 will be available for more creators.

I think it’s better to start now to make videos for IGTV because when the option will be available to everyone, you will already have a fan base to start sharing to.
