There’s a really popular website where you can make money with your writing, and find creative ways to sell writing related services.

The site is called Fiverr.com, but the funny thing is; many Medium writers have already heard about it, so why aren’t more of them using it?

My guess is, they don’t fully understand the scope of what all they can do, and the freedom they have to do it in.

Writers on Medium always seem to be looking for alternative ways to make money online. Whether it involves writing, or you have some other type of side hustle, the lure of earning cash at home is appealing.

Does that sound like you? Maybe you keep hearing about different websites where you can earn money writing, but you’re not sure which ones to try, or how to get started.

My recommendation to any writer who is looking for money making opportunities outside of Medium, is that you give Fiverr a try.

Those who are serious about putting in a little work will succeed on that site. On the other hand, you shouldn’t even bother, if you’re not willing to put in a little effort.

This story will tell you what you need to know about getting paid to write articles on Fiverr.com.

You can make money if you don’t mind working for clients

Fiverr is a website that I’ve made hundreds of dollars on over the years, but I was rarely sticking to one venture, so I always drifted off into something else. The other issue is, I don’t really like working for clients.

However, if you’re looking for another place to try and stay put for a while, and you don’t mind dealing with clients, Fiverr is perfect for you. From one writer to another, believe me when I say that there are all kinds of writing opportunities available to you there.

Read the most important information you need to know about the site below. Any other details, you should have no problem locating on the website.

If you want an extra advantage, be sure to use my step-by-step guidance in how to create an effective Fiverr ad. I wrote that story a little while ago.

Is getting started on Fiverr easy?

Getting started on Fiverr can be as easy or difficult as you make it. That is why I suggest before you get started, that you visit the Fiverr marketplace and browse the categories, especially those that you think you’ll be submitting to.

The writing services that you plan to offer will no doubt, already be offered by lots of other individuals. Don’t be discouraged by this. Instead, use this to your benefit.

Observe the writing related services that other Fiverr providers are offering, and the way they present those services. If you plan to provide the same or similar writing services, think of a creative, if not unique way to offer it.

You will be allowed an opportunity to describe what you offer in detail, as well as through the use of videos and writing portfolios.

Take advantage of these opportunities to make your writing gigs stand out. In fact using a video or voice over presentation to describe your gig will more than double you gig’s visibility.

This is a good thing since getting visibility and exposure for your gigs is probably your biggest challenge at Fiverr.

In order to start getting paid like the rest of the Fiverr gig providers, you have got to map out a plan of action. Determine what your writing goal on the website will be.

Will you provide web content articles, blog posts, press releases, or all of the above? Whatever it is that you want to write or offer as a service, there is definitely someone in need of your writing.

You can promote one type of writing service or multiple services, it’s completely up to you.

Personally, I think it’s a good idea to stick to one primary service, and learn to perfect it so that Buyers begin to seek you out as an expert.

For instance, at one point, I found that I was getting a lot of sales for the press release gig that I offered.

The other writing gigs that I promoted were not doing nearly as well, so I decided to concentrate mainly on the press releases.

Since I was no longer jumping around from one type of writing to the next, this actually kept me more focused and better equipped to provide quality press releases.

Final Thoughts

The brief rundown of what to do on Fiverr is information that some writers have chosen to take for granted, yet they continue to seek other ways to earn money online.

While some writers remain too skeptical or hesitant to look into this awesome money-making opportunity, smart Medium writers like Jenn Leach have managed to try their luck and are off to a great start on Fiverr!

Jenn joined Fiverr in the past, then stopped and started again, just like me. According to Jenn:

“My restart was around Late August 2021…I’ve made around $300 to $400.”

THAT COULD BE YOU! If you need an additional source of writing income, stop dragging your feet and sleeping on this totally doable gig.

Take a few minutes away from story writing, or binge watching shows, and look the Fiverr website over. You could be selling your writing services and getting paid.

Remember:

  • The Fiverr website offers you a really cool way to make money with your writing and it teaches you to constantly think outside the box.
  • It is a perfect way to show off your writing skills, whether you write creative ad copy or you write non-fiction articles, blogs, press releases and other web content.
