How to Make a Late-Night Cuppa Tea
There is only one way to make late-night tea:
- Decaffeinated, since you don’t want to be a walking zombie in the morning.
- With lemon to add that warm citrus smell, a little zing to wake you up as you pore over studies, emails, or an anime (cough, Attack on Titan, cough).
- Microwaved for one minute — boiled stovetop if you’re fancy and patient, though I think that’s a waste of dishes.
- With three seconds’-worth of honey squeezed from the bottle.
- Stir with a small spoon, or a large one, or a spatula if that’s all you’ve got (never a fork).
- Hold the hot cup in both hands, letting the steam waft in waves over your closed eyes.
There is simply no other way to make the perfect late-night cuppa tea. I can’t be convinced otherwise.
