How to Keep Earning Money in an AI Ridden World

Artificial Intelligence. It’s one of the more interruptive new technologies, that have us wondering, does anything we do matter? Can’t an AI just do it better for less?

While it is true that there is a wide variety of topics AI can do better than people now, (for example, AI can create art, and mass-produce low quality writing for cheap), there are also many opportunities that AI won’t get rid of. That’s mostly what this article will go over, opportunities for side hustles that AI won’t make obsolete.

Most of these newer opportunities involve technology, so for the technologically oriented, you’re in luck!

3 Websites That Pay for Technical Articles

Technical writing is a great field that is unlikely to be taken over by AI in the future, largely because of nature of AI being best at churning out generic articles.

If you want to be a writer, it would probably be best to look into technical writing, because in the future it will be probably be easier to use AI to generate a book that it is to actually write one yourself. Technical writing isn’t likely to leave soon, even with AI already starting to be used for writing publications.

There are many reasons why technical writing isn’t likely to go soon. For example if you owned a company, and you wanted to teach people how to use your software, you would need to hire a real person, because using AI for a task like that is unfeasible at the moment.

Technical writing is likely to be one of the more venerable writing fields in the dawn of AI, because documenting how a software is used is fairly difficult for AI to do if it was never taught.

Listed below are three websites/companies that will pay to have people write various technology oriented articles for them:

Airbyte

Airbyte link:

Airbyte is a service that focuses on database engineering. They offer $900 per original article.

Neptune

Neptune link:

Neptune is a website that focuses on machine learning, and AI. If you are knowledgeable about this topic, they will pay anywhere from $300–600 per article

Contentlab

Contentlab link:

Contentlab is a more broadly focused publication, and they accept articles on lots of different topics. The pay here is slightly more broad too, but they discuss the pay per article beforehand.

Creating and Selling 3d Models

Just by knowledge of how to use Blender, and some marketing skills, you can potentially earn anywhere from hundreds to even a couple thousand of dollars just making 3d models and selling them on the Unity Asset Store, or the Unreal Marketplace so that other people can make games, or animations.

This is unlikely to get replaced by AI in the near future because 3d models are much larger and more complex than images. It might be possible to automate some minor parts of the creation process, for example getting a reference image for the model, but you would still need a human to create the model themselves.

I got started just by watching tutorials on Youtube, and this method works great :)

Creating Your Own Website

Creating your own website or blog is an excellent way to keep up even with newer technologies. Creating your own website takes time, and can be quite difficult. I would suggest using tools like Wordpress to help automate the process.

Creating your own blog is also a good idea, and a good website to start creating your blog is Blogger.com, which allows you to place Google ads into your blog with ease.
