How to Improve the Taste of Your Semen

Full disclosure — I don’t hate the taste of sperm. Actually, I love it. There’s something about the flavor of semen that makes me feel a little high.

Maybe it’s just when I’m drunk on love, swallowing a man’s ejaculate makes me feel even closer to him.

When I’m seriously into a man — and therefore incredibly turned-on by our encounter — I want to swallow his sperm when he comes. Swallowing makes me feel even more turned-on. At that point, I’m not even worrying about the flavor.

There’s something electric in a man’s jizz that makes me feel woozy when I swallow it. This probably has something to do with the fact that I’m already buzzing from arousal as it is, but I think there’s something else to it — some enzyme released in a guy’s sperm when he ejaculates that makes me feel lightheaded.

And yet as an escort, I’ve also tasted sperm that’s not so good. Okay, sometimes it’s downright awful. But this is the sperm of men I don’t love.

Often there are other factors that contribute to my sensing a man’s semen tastes bad. Often I don’t like his taste in general.

I don’t like the way his skin tastes. I don’t like the way his sweat tastes. And not ironically, the taste of a man’s sweat and his semen are linked.

This is why many experts say a man should cut out caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana if he wants to improve the taste of his sperm.

According to Dr. Nelson Bennett, a urologist at Northwestern Memorial in Chicago:

“…coffee (caffeine), tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana can make the semen bitter tasting, and the by-products of these substances are excreted in bodily secretions like sweat, urine and semen.”

Andrew Nolan of Squirt.org concurs:

“If it’s bad for your breath, it’s bad for your cum.”

Taste and smell are linked.

According to Dr. Debby Herbenick, an author, educator and research scientist at Indiana University School of Public Health, taste and smell are linked in other ways.

“I also like to keep in mind that scent and taste and intimately connected. To the extent that you can keep smelling good, it may enhance your partner’s perception of your taste.”

As such, Dr. Herbenick advises men to maintain their pubic hair trimmed or shaved “so as not to trap too much sweat.”

And of course, she advises “showering after a workout is a good idea as is exercising in the first place.”

So take lots of showers and manscape your pubic region to improve the taste of your sperm.

What to ingest to make your semen taste better.

According to Dr. Nelson Bennett, there are other things you can eat or drink to improve the taste of your semen.

1. Drink juice and eat fruit.

Pineapple juice has long been lauded as a way to sweeten a man’s spunk. Not only can pineapple juice improve the taste of a man’s semen, but eating fruit in general can.

According to Dr. Bennett:

“Naturally sugary fruits like kiwi fruits, blueberries and stone fruit (plums, peaches, dates, nectarines) … improve your taste.”

2. Eat herbs.

According to Dr. Bennett, eating certain herbs can also improve the taste of your sperm.

“Cinnamon, wheatgrass, peppermint, spearmint and parsley all sweeten the taste of your semen.”

3. Eat celery.

Celery is a vegetable that Dr. Bennett also shares “will help flush out the salty flavor.”

According to Dr. Bennett, this is because celery is high in vitamin C content. That’s what neutralizes sperm’s salty taste.

The change won’t happen overnight.

And even so, eating the aforementioned foods might only cause a small change in the taste of your sperm. Dr. Bennett also says this change will only happen over time.

“Changes in semen taste as a result of ingesting certain foods and liquids takes several days to weeks to manifest. The prostatic fluid that makes up a large portion of semen volume is made several days before ejaculation, so drinking a quart of pineapple juice today will not sweeten the semen tonight.”

Wouldn’t you just love to quaff a jug of pineapple juice tonight, and voila, your sperm will taste sweeter? Unfortunately, it takes time for any change to be noticeable.

So patience, guys.

There’s isn’t conclusive evidence that eating these things will improve your flavor.

If you were hoping for authoritative research on the subject of how to improve the taste of your semen, it doesn’t exist.

Dr. Herbenick says that we can attempt to come up with all the solutions we’d like, but there’s no conclusive research on how to change your sperm’s flavor because no scientific study has ever been done to test this.

Why not? Blame it on antiquated attitudes about sexuality that impede such research from moving forward.

According to Jerry Coyne, an evolutionary biologist and the author of Why Evolution Is True, such research would also prove difficult.

“Scientifically researching this would be a very difficult process. You could take sperm samples, but flavor is a subjective phenomenon based on how chemicals react with receptors in your brain.”

So whether a man’s semen tastes good or bad is totally subjective.

I concur. As I said, when I love a man, I love other things about him too, such as his smell. And as such, it’s understandable that I’d like the taste of his semen as well.

What not to eat.

If the evidence isn’t conclusive that you can improve your sperm’s flavor, then there’s also evidence that you can make it taste worse.

1. Just say no to asparagus.

If you’ve ever eaten asparagus and then peed, you know exactly what it does to your urine.

Apparently, the same thing happens to your semen.

So forget the asparagus on that salad tonight, and add celery instead. But don’t expect any change in the taste of tonight’s load. You’ll have to wait a couple of days for any noticeable improvement.

2. Just say no to sulfurous veggies.

While you’re ridding your fridge of asparagus, you might as well toss the cauliflower, cabbage, and broccoli.

These veggies are high in sulfur content, and therefore also contribute to bad-tasting semen.

3. Just say no to meat and dairy.

Peta likes this one. A plant-based vegan diet, besides increasing blood flow in the body and therefore leading to better erections, will also improve the taste of your sperm.

So for better-tasting spunk, nix the diary and meat from your diet and eat more veggies — just not broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower or asparagus.

For good-tasting sperm, stay healthy in general.

For good-tasting sperm, a man should stay healthy in general. At least this is what sexologist Ava Cadell, Ph.D., founder of Sexpert.com says.

According to Cadell:

“When you don’t feel well, your body isn’t going to taste healthy.”

That includes your sperm.

So no smoking, no alcohol, no meat or dairy, and stock up on your veggies, just no broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, or asparagus.

I know, sounds tough — but your lady will thank you later when your sperm’s spurting into her mouth. You might even find her begging to swallow.
