How To Unblock Your Chakras With Writing

Can it affect our writing when they are open or closed?

I have been giving a lot of thought lately, to how writing for Medium has allowed me to open myself up to healing myself in unique ways that are not textbook explanations. I have been wondering how our chakra system guides us when we write.

A paintbrush of creativity but for words. Each sentence I write is like a lock to a door in a secret hallway, one with many, many doors. Each door entry is a part of me that needs to be opened up, examined, pulled apart. It may require an edit or two and then put it all together to make sense.

The hallway is one big story of our life. Each door opens a room with compartments and shelves all holding stories, emotions, thoughts, experiences, and even trauma. It is like our Akashic records but for this life.

Taking all of this into account, I have started to see how they connect to the chakras. I have discovered for myself, each one can be linked back to the chakra that needs healing.

The chakra speaks to my subconscious. Talks to my higher self. It is then, when the story is ready to be released for healing, my higher guidance flips the switch, and the writing begins.

In some cases, when we have writer’s block may also mean that that chakra is on the fritz and is blocked. The blockage creates a form of energy that needs a little bit of extra love and attention to unlock. It can require work to unblock that chakra especially if has remained in the body for a long time. We have given it energy many times over. Once starting as the size of a pea and is now the size of a rockmelon.

My feeling on the subject is that I believe it is all linked. It may be different for others, or maybe you find the same similarities.

For the sake of this story, I will stick to the seven commonly known chakras, not the usual ten or, so I connect too. Maybe I will write a part two for the more uncommon chakras. Otherwise, this will end up as an essay. Let me know if you would like that?

I have broken down each chakra below. Giving you an brief explanation for each one.

And, how I believe the chakra behaves when it is open or closed when I write my stories.

Additionally, I feel that the characteristics of each chakra can direct us with the topics we choose to write about.

CrownConnection to source and energy. An open channel for our intuition and guidance to flow through. Open little resistance to writing, ideas, words flow. Closed possible writer’s block, unable to process thoughts, scattered thinking. Out of balance with our heart chakra and with our heart and mind. What we write about — ideas/topics take a lot of space in our heads. Thoughts are bubbling in our consciousness. Subjects that are very processed and detailed, things we “can’t get out of our head”. Ideally, we want an open channel for information.

Third Eye — also intuition. Seeing beyond linear, our inner guidance. Our awareness to all that is around us. Openseeing situations persons experiences for what they are, not what we imagine them to be. Seeing into the future/clairvoyance. Closed“blind eye” to a person place to experience, trauma. What we write about — painful situations, when we didn’t listen to our intuition or hindsight, what you refused to see that became a lesson or the opposite when you did listen to your intuition or that gut feeling.

Throat — communication, how to speak to ourselves. Are we using our voice to talk and communicate with others, positively or negatively? Opencommunication is open between yourself and your intuition. Also, to your higher guidance. No problems speaking up or putting words down into a story. The energy of words is easy to flow through and out. Closedhave trouble speaking up. Struggle with the confidence to speak up. We don’t feel that what we have to say is valued and respected. We find it difficult to ask ourselves what we need or want. What we write aboutlistening to others, communication or where we experienced lack of communication and how it affected us, past regret when we should have spoken up or acknowledged the power and confidence that we spoke up from a place of love, connects to the heart space.

Heartlove, giving, and receiving. Expressing our love and emotions. Open loving with no judgment or expectations, loving freely with no conditions, heart on sleeve without worrying how others perceive you. The openness of the heart is and how you embrace self-care and healing. Closed severe trauma may shut down your ability to be open and receive others. Let people in, love with expectations, or want something in return. Judgment of one’s self, projecting onto others. What we write about heartbreak and trauma, being in love. Falling out of love. I AM-Love presence (* I don’t personally believe in self-love in that we are already love*), how others have loved us, shown us love, love to our pets, partners, families, passions etc— basically anything that you “love” that brings you joy.

Solar Plexus our power source, wisdom. Open standing in our power without ego, sharing our knowledge, wisdom and, life experiences how they changed us. How we can teach others, it is our light within that is open. Sharing that inner light with others. Teach others through experiences or from past trauma. Closed hiding from ourselves, afraid of our power, too much ego, and outer blame. No accountability, pushing our thoughts onto others. Thinking everyone has to think alike or the same. Closed off to your soul and inner guidance. What we write about what lights you up, where you dimed your light. How experiences trauma changed you and how you learned from them. Sharing knowledge with others, opening others up to other possibilities, how we have grown and evolved as humans in our life.

Sacral creativity, sexuality, and inner confidence in knowing who we are. Open an expression of all types of creativity. Painting, sculpting, gardening, etc. Any channel that allows the flow of creativity to run freely. Confidence in who we are. Not an illusion of who we believe we are, this becomes a healthy balance between ego and ourselves. Closed closed off to our greatness, we may not feel worthy or feel that we are safe. Ask for what you want, hiding past mistakes, trauma, or shame. Not being in our I AM presence. Unable to do our creative tasks, including writing. Feeling of being blocked, unable to express ourselves across all areas of our life, not just in relationships. What we write about this can cover practically any topic in writing that allows you creative expression or a creative endeavor. We may talk about ego and ourselves, how we have learned to express ourselves, health, and well-being.

Base/Root grounded, the seat of our soul, how we ground ourselves, in reality, trusting ourselves. Opentrusting our intuition, grounded in our thoughts, actions, decisions. Closed not trusting ourselves to make choices or decisions. Letting others have control. Over us, or the aspects of our life. What we write about where we have lost our way, we misplaced our trust. Lessons of trust. Grounding techniques, our views on our reality, and our experiences.

You might be asking, how to open these chakras? Glad you asked !

The process is quite simple. We can make it too complicated. Just focus on ways to open those chakras that I mentioned above. If you are still stuck, comment below and I would be happy to help you out :)

You could also :

Journal, go outside and get some sun, seek a therapist, someone to talk too. Self-care, seek an alternative and holistic therapist for healing, and re-alignment to help break down the blocks. Mediation is helpful for some.

Simple as asking yourself what does it need right now at this moment and allow some time to wait for answers. If you are in a rush to know, that is the ego. It wants to get your attention.

Our bodies speak to us all the time. We don’t pay enough attention or take the time to slow down. Our chakras are the lights on runway guiding the plane the right way at nighttime. We may not see where we are going sometimes. But the soul does.

Can you look back on the writing you have done to this point and see how it all connects?

What do you think? let me know, I would love to hear from you.
