So, you want a guide to get to 10k right?

Well, I guess I should give you that.

This post is going to condense a short book worth of value into just over 2k words, so stay tuned.

First, let me tell you a bit about how I came to know about business.

I started out in my journey asleep.

I was a common parasite, suckling off the dopamine in social media and the internet. Maybe some of you can relate to that, but if you’re reading this story, then I assume you’ve gotten rid of those habits.

The thing with being asleep is, you don’t realise what you’re missing.

I lived for years unconsciously through my addictions and spent every day doing nothing meaningful or productive.

Something inside of me was dying.

I wanted desperately to have a better life but I just didn’t know what else was out there.

My dream was being a confident, happy, wealthy man who had everything in life,- complete freedom, being able to do what I wanted, without fear or doubt.

I always saw that future as so far away, forever beyond my reach. It made me so depressed to feel like no matter what I did today, I wouldn’t even make a dent towards getting to where I wanted to be.

The thing with progress is, that it’s mostly invisible in life. Especially when it comes to personal growth. You can’t see just how far you’ve come, because we are biased towards negative change, not positive change.

“One never notices what has been done; one can only see what remains to be done, and if one didn’t like the work, it would be very discouraging.”

― Marie Curie

The mind notices when something is wrong, but when things are getting better, you ignore it.

Think back to a year ago- are you the same person you were then?

How much have you learned since then?

How far have you come?

A year ago I didn’t even know what an entrepreneur was really, I thought it was some kind of strange French musical instrument or something.

Now I have a business mentor (Jaice De Celis) who is a legend, and many other mentors and communities, courses and peers who teach me so much every day.

The reason I am qualified to teach you is because I have learned from the best.

I created my own community and I am dedicated to spreading a Mega Mindset around the world, so we can all escape the rat race.

It all started with a burning desire, mixed with the courage and faith to take action.

Now listen up, we are getting to the good stuff.

What Is The Best Business To Get To 10k Per Month???

Ok, here we go. I am going to break down what the best business for you to get to 10k per month.

Ready?

Here we go…

The best business is always the one you’ve stuck to for ten years.

The worst is the one you just started, so you could get to 10k per month.

Yeah, I know that’s cheap but really, what did you expect?

Stop looking for shiny objects and easy ways out. You must work hard if you want to achieve something great. I haven’t had 10 years yet, but I know that if I put in the time and effort, I will master my field and business.

Don’t choose a business based on what you want to get out of it. Choose it based on the problems you want to solve.

The problems you are qualified to solve.

Here is how to know how qualified you are:

Level 0 (Unqualified)

Never solved the problem.

You are not equipped to teach anyone how to solve this. You shouldn’t base your offer on this. E.g. an obese kid telling you how to lose weight.

Level 1 (Minimum Qualification)

You’ve solved the problem for yourself.

E.g. you lost fat, made money in x business model, or figured out how to master your mindset and overcome doubt.

Level 2 (Qualified)

You’ve solved the problem for other people personally.

Maybe via Zoom, or in person, you’ve helped others solve the problem. Maybe you were a personal trainer, you started consulting or you helped a friend or two.

Level 3 (Very Qualified)

You’ve solved the problem for an audience.

If you have a successful social media following or community with an educational purpose, and people tell you that your content changed their lives and/or solved their problem, then you’ve hit the jackpot.

You are clearly qualified and know what you’re talking about. If you can help someone without speaking to them face-to-face, then you’ve definitely mastered your niche.

How Do I Stick To A Business For Ten Bloody Years!??

Don’t worry, I’m not saying it’s going to take that long to get to 10k per month.

It really shouldn’t unless you’re a buffoon. But you should be prepared to do it for that long in order to make it.

If you don’t have that level of conviction, you won’t last a year in the harsh reality of entrepreneurship.

It isn’t easy, I know. You have to stick to one thing, fail repeatedly, get feedback and improve until you succeed.

There is no other way. No shortcut, no top tip and no bullshit.

Looking for the easy way out signifies that your mindset is still WEAK.

The best way to sustain hard work is to make it FUN.

And make it MEANINGFUL.

Those two things turn work into something more like play, and it removes all need for discipline.

Try alignment instead of discipline. If you need discipline, it means you don’t want to do the work. But why?

If this is your path to freedom, why the fuck don’t you want to follow it?

Awww, it’s hard? Poor baby doesn’t like working, it’s too hard?

TOUGH SHIT.

“We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”

— Carlos Castaneda

If you can’t get yourself to do the work, you need to find a better reason other than just 10k.

The Journey Of Growth [Source]

The only way to make your business grow is to grow as a person.

The only way to exceed expectations is to let go of them.

The only way to be strong is to embrace where you are weak.

Everything you want is on the other side of comfort. Which one will you choose?

“To be free, to be happy and fruitful, can only be attained through sacrifice of many common but overestimated things.”

— Robert Henri

Here’s the single best way I’ve found to align myself to a purpose and make the work fucking EASY (or at least not as difficult):

Make The Work About Others

If other people are relying on you, then you’ll do the work. You don’t want to disappoint others do you?

Even better is if you have fans or followers. Serving them makes you feel good, like you’re significant. Contributing to your own community feels like feeding your baby.

You just wanna see it grow and thrive.

You don’t need a community, but I’d advise you to make whatever you do more purposeful and social.

Answer this: How does your work help other people?

How does it improve their lives?

The stronger the answer the stronger your purpose. Especially if you suffered from the same problems as your customers.

PRO TIP: If you can’t work without getting distracted, try co-working.

Working with mates makes the work more collaborative, fun and harder to avoid.

Focus On Fundamentals, Not Systems

Fundamentals are far more important than systems. Systems get outdated, but fundamentals rarely ever do.

“As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.”

— RALPH WALDO EMERSON

Here are some fundamental rules to follow in business:

  1. If you’re struggling to keep up, then don’t despair. Overwhelm is not a sign that it’s too hard, it’s a sign that you’re growing.
  2. Don’t ever multitask. One thing at a time, otherwise you will destroy your focus and get decision fatigue.
  3. Progress is measured in improvement, not objective results. Don’t give up just because you’re not at the same level as someone light years ahead of you. Put in the practice and you’ll get there.
  4. Steal, don’t copy. Take your competitors’ best ideas and improve them, then launch your own ideas to take over the market.
  5. Motivation won’t always be there, but purpose will. Always remember why you’re doing this, and use discipline if necessary.
  6. People don’t give a shit unless it benefits them. When marketing or selling, never talk about features, speak to them in benefits. The offer is their transformation, not your product.
  7. Keep things simple. One offer. One market. One ICP. One funnel. One sales process. One product and one price. The more you can streamline the business, the more easily you can scale and deal with difficulties. This isn’t true for market research, only for the main offer.
  8. Ask for help. Find people smarter than you. Get mentors and like-minded peers on the same journey. Just by osmosis, you will become much better at what you do. Learn from the best and what will you become?
  9. Only ever make content for ONE person. Your ICP. Messaging is everything, so if you try to hit multiple people/niches then it won’t resonate. Your ability to resonate directly correlates with your ability to understand them. If you want to make them feel understood, write to THEM not everyone.
  10. Don’t try to sell people. Give value until they throw their credit card at you. The more free value you give, the more they perceive you as valuable and credible. Bonus: they like you client satisfaction goes up and churn rate goes down.
  11. People are only willing to pay large amounts of money for things that either remove their pain or give them pleasure. That is a basic human drive, and pain can be caused by them in these areas:
  • Beauty/looks
  • Money/financial security
  • Health/wellness
  • Connection/relationships

If your niche speaks to any of these 8 desires, it will work, but remember, the more painful the problem, the higher you can charge.

Don’t Ever Forget Why You Started

My last point is about abundance. And I don’t mean swimming in money, although fair warning, it may end with that if you do it right.

It can be easy to get swept up in the day-to-day of a business venture. But if you let yourself get lost in the swirl of numbers and tasks, you’ll stop enjoying it. You’ll stop seeing the purpose in the profit.

If it ever just becomes about a number on a screen going up, you may as well go back to cookie-clicker.

What the fuck is the point of life if all you do is sit in your room and grind out the “great online game”.

It just ends up being another video game that you’re addicted to.

Money isn’t real, never forget that. It’s just a tool we use to access more resources and people.

The best entrepreneurs make business about more than money and KPIs.

Sam Ovens talks about how his team is like a family. He loves working with them, it’s like hanging out with friends all day and getting paid for it.

He also says that the more you can make work fun, the further you’ll go.

It isn’t just about making more profit though, it’s also about your satisfaction doing the work.

If you enjoy work, you get the best of both worlds.

So there, that’s the guide over.

TL;DR: To Get To 10K PM

Step One: Find a problem that you’ve solved. Bonus points if you’ve solved it for others too.

Step Two: Choose a vehicle (business model) to use to bring your solution to that problem to a market online. E.g. agency owners solving client acquisition online or a fitness coach training people online to lose fat.

Step Three: Stick to that business model for a long time. Make it purposeful and about helping the world, instead of just making money. Find other people doing what you want to do so you can learn from them.

Step Four: Learn and practice the fundamentals, always. Keep them in mind, use them and adapt them to your own strategies and tactics.

Step Five: Don’t get lost in the work. Enjoy your life and what you work on. Find people you like to work with. Never stop growing and learning.
