How to get a spider out of your bedroom!

Yesterday I was at a table with a man who has always had an affinity with insects. Once after a very long day he was settling down for the night when he noticed a large spider in the high ceiling of his bedroom. The home he was staying in was not his own. The others were already asleep. He silently spoke.

Look I know you need a safe home for the night but so do I. You cannot stay here. I will help you find a place of your own. Just stay there. I’ll be back.

And with that he went to look for a broom. Back in his bedroom he carefully held the broom up to the spider.

Now just get onto this and hold on. I will carry you.

The spider jumped onto the end of the broom.

Reiner then walked carefully downstairs, opened the front door and held the broom out into the garden.

Off you go now. Lots of lovely places for you. Take care.

The spider jumped off the broom and Reiner returned to his room for a peaceful sleep.
