How to Gain Sales From This Simple Facebook Hack
Facebook hashtags increase your reach for free
A simple hack and that will help you gain sales from Facebook. I can write a long article and make it a 5-minute read. But, let’s cut the chase, so you can focus on what is important if you are an online seller, that is to make sales. This Facebook hashtag will increase your organic reach for free.
Most small businesses are left with no choice but to pivot online because of the pandemic. Business owners are struggling with digital marketing. The shift to online has become one of the most difficult decisions a business owner has to make. The stay at home orders has made brick and mortar shops open online stores. One must learn digital marketing which can be both daunting and expensive to get new customers and keep the old ones coming back.
What about Facebook hacks
The hack I am about to reveal is about using Facebook hashtags. A variation of the #stayathomechallenge hashtag. Check the photo below and when I last checked it has over 77,000 people participating in the challenge.

Instead of using #stayathome, you use the name of your product or service. Are you selling coffee? Use #coffeechallenge and I already saw coffee shops using the #coffeechallenge hashtag.
That’s the Facebook hack, but what is so special about using the #challenge hashtag? Using ‘#challenge’ allows you to nominate friends. The nominate friends tab appears as soon as you use a #challenge hashtag. You can start tagging friends and if the person chooses to join the challenge it will appear on their feed. The person can then nominate others and the virality becomes exponential each time someone joins the challenge. Think of ‘#challenge’ as your first step in digital marketing.
Here is a deeper dive on Facebook Hashtag and Challenges
Facebook hashtags first become a thing in 2013, but it didn’t catch on. Some say using hashtags then, may hurt the organic reach of your post.
Hashtags turn topics and phrases into clickable links in your posts on your personal timeline or Page. This helps people find posts about topics they’re interested in. To make a hashtag, write # (the number sign) along with a topic or phrase and add it to your post. For example:
I just saw the cutest puppy! #dogs.
Another popular Facebook hashtag is, #supportsmallbusiness.
Businesses are facing immense challenges during the COVID-19 crisis, and supporting them is critical to the well-being of entrepreneurs, communities and the economy. As many stores remain closed and social media serves as an online Main Street, the shift to doing business online is more urgent than ever.

Challenge
Facebook going full TikTok with hashtag challenge buttons on posts — Matt Navarra
I came across this Facebook hack by chance, on my feed I keep noticing #stayathomechallenge as very popular and that goes to show that people are already using hashtags, maybe as Matt Navarra said it is likely because of TikTok.
Challenge is an emotional word, we are being pushed to our limit in both our personal and professional lives, as we continue to battle the pandemic. But challenges can also push you to new ideas and if you have a business your challenge is how you can make this opportunity help you thrive in the new normal.
I want to hear from you if in any way you have success in using this Facebook hack. Thank you, Naff Beltran
