I would like 100 Followers -And Give You Tips in Return
(Tips For Increasing Your followers)
As a newbie Medium member and writer, I am happy to be a member, but the aim is to be paid member. I’ll need 100 followers for that and so will you if you want to be in the Medium Partner Program.
First tip I have — courtesy of a Medium writer who successfully got followers — is to search out other people who want followers.
Hit the search bar on your Medium page and type in “I need 100 followers.” You’ll see a few articles on this same topic. Go ahead, reach the articles, and follow up with a clap and a comment. You can say if you found the article helpful and you can end by telling the writer that you liked the article. End with a call to action: tell the writer that you are following him/her and you would appreciate the follow back.
This method does work and I am happy to say that at one point, I had 11 followers and it is now jumped to 30 a day later. Take some time to read a few articles and clap and write a comment for the writer or the public to read.
You can make a general comment liking the article.
You can also read the comments made by other writers and also do the same step: reply to the comment and ask for support.
2nd Tip: Promote on Facebook Medium Groups. Plan to spend an hour or so doing so. You need to join Medium groups first.
For myself, I found that getting follows on Facebook is more tricky. You have to be more upfront and ask for support. A few Medium/Facebook writers gave me lots of claps, but didn’t follow me, even after I followed them.
So, if you are on a Facebook Group and reading this, please follow a newbie writer if you liked the article. It will give them encouragement to write more.
3rd Tip: Write an Article Like this
This is a sure way to let others know you want followers. Check out what other writers wrote about their experience and make it your own.
4rd Tip: Get On A Publication
I am told this is a great way to get lots of followers. That is my next step. However, as a newbie, I find it difficult to locate a complete list Medium’s publications. Keep in mind that you have to send your article as a draft first and wait for a response from the publication.
Hope these tips help.
Please comment if you have tips for new writers as well.
