How to Find Value in Life

So many writers are writing on Medium about sacrificing everything so they can make boatloads of money and travel the world. But is that a fulfilling life?
If you’re sitting on top of a mountain of cash it’s probably quite the view. But if you’re up there all alone, is it really worth it? Don’t get me wrong, I want to make piles and piles of cash… but it’s not so I can be Scrooge McDuck with it. I want to use my money to take better care of my loved ones and be more charitable.
If you can go anywhere in the world on your oceans of cash but you’re by yourself, what good is it? Seems like a lonely lifestyle to me.
And that brings up a big question… what does true value really look like?
What is really valuable in life?
This makes me reflect on all the extras I enjoy in life.
It makes me think about:
- What brings me the most joy?
- What am I spending the most time on?
- Who am I spending the most time with?
- What activities are bringing energy to me?
- What brings me peace in life?

How I’m Creating a Wealthy Lifestyle, with or without Money
Money comes and money goes.
I’ve yet to make so much money that I have to start worrying about having too much. I’ve been comfortable and I’ve been uncomfortable. Through it all, my best memories in life have little to do with money.
Money can definitely make life easier, but it won’t bring anyone happiness.

The best advice I can give is to build your life around the people you love.
Money is either going to be there or it’s not but you have to take advantage of the time you have with loved ones. Life is short. Be obsessed with working hard but do it because you want to create a better life, not for the money itself.
Money won’t bring you happiness no matter how much you have… or don’t have.
