Burnout begins when all is well and suddenly the drive to continue vanishes before our very eyes.

Then lack of energy and finally the lack of motivation for daily things.

Luckily, I managed to compile some ways to combat burnout and recover from the infamous burnout.

Here are some ways to recover from burnout.

1. Rest And Recovery

To begin, try resting in a comfortable spot. It does not necessarily mean your bed. If you can rest where available.

The high demands of burnout cause the body to go frail and get sick more often.

Thankfully, research also indicates that the connection works both ways: reducing fatigue through sleep is a surefire way to fight back against burnout-RiseScience.org

Unwinding before resting helps as well. This means doing something you enjoy before you go get resting dramatically improves your recovery rate.

Watching T.V, a massage, or even working out to name a few. Whatever gets you to relax and start resting.

2. Eat And Rehydrate

Forgetting to properly hydrate and eat is part of the reason why getting back on track is hard. Burnout prevents the body from properly recovering.

Getting the hard meals into our bodies will help us not only have the energy to keep going but will add the necessary nutrients to prevent exhaustion.

Fruit, Leaf greens, Water, Wholefoods, Chocolate, and Green tea are some of the foods that we can add to our diets to kickstart our bodies.

Rachael Hartley, a certified intuitive eating counselor from Rachael Hartley Nutrition, -“One group of food I would recommend for people who are struggling with emotional burnout are carbohydrate foods, especially fiber-rich carbohydrate sources like oats, brown rice, quinoa, and potatoes.

3. Lower Your Work Load

One thing you must accept is if you have burnout, resting and lowering your workload is a must. The body can only hold so much stress.

Chronic stress and inflation can hurt you in the long run and might lead to possible health problems in the later future.

Ask friends and family to help you if you are in need of assistance. Asking for help should not feel like a chore if you health is in the jeopardy.

If you are a job that has no coworkers, dedicate a certain amount of recovery time just for yourself. It will help you ease your body.

Remember to pick and prioritize what needs to be done and what's not worth your time. You only get one body so take care of it.
